  • Patent number: 8961411
Abstract: The object is to seek a position for an insertion opening through which a treatment tool inserted inside a body cavity may reach an affected area while avoiding an obstacle. A first light emitting portion placed in an insertion portion applies light to an affected area inside a body cavity. A second light emitting portion placed in the insertion portion applies light to an inner wall of the body cavity toward the opposite side of the first light emitting portion. At this time, a light pathway on which the light from the first light emitting portion and the second light emitting portion will not strike the obstacle (e.g., an organ outside than the affected area, etc.) inside the body cavity is searched for. By making, in the position that the light from the second light emitting portion strikes, an insertion opening for inserting a treatment tool, the treatment tool can reach the affected area without interfering with the obstacle.

  • Publication number: 20140107519
Abstract: A magnitude of a current component in x direction, y direction or z direction, or a composite current of the current components in x direction, y direction and z direction, estimated from scalp potentials outputted from sensors mounted on a head of a subject, predetermined coordinates of lattice points preset in a standard brain, and predetermined coordinates of the sensors is determined. A normalized power variance (NPV) and its mean value are determined with Fourier coefficients determined from the magnitude of the current component or the composite current. Z-score (or Y-score) of the subject from a mean value of NPV predetermined in the same manner as the mean value and a standard deviation of the NPV for a predetermined normal person group is determined and mapped with contour lines corresponding to the lattice points on a horizontal plane designated.

  • Publication number: 20090312644
Abstract: A vital tissue discrimination device, which includes infrared spectrum acquiring section (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13 and 14) for acquiring infrared spectrum information from a vital tissue and an operating section (11) for discriminating normal from abnormal of the vital tissue based on the infrared spectrum information obtained by the infrared spectrum acquiring section, wherein the operating section (11) calculates a micro-cycle fluctuation component of the infrared spectrum information and discriminates normal from abnormal of the vital tissue based on the micro-cycle fluctuation component of the infrared spectrum information.

  • Patent number: 5050608
Abstract: An articulated arm has a plurality of arms connected to each other by joints. A pointer is connected to one of the plurality of arms. The arm nearest the pointer is the foremost arm of the articulated arm. Angular displacement sensors are provided at joints of the articulated arm, for producing angular signals. Tomographical images of a patient's body are displayed on a cathode-ray tube. The angular signals are converted to tomographical position signals corresponding to the tomographical images on the cathode-ray tube. In response to the tomographical position signals, the position of the tip of the pointer is displayed on the cathode-ray tube with a mark. The system can be used, for example, in locating a position on a patient's body where an operation is to be performed.
