Patent number: 4994745Abstract: There is disclosed a method of accurately calculating the magnetic field strength at an arbitrary position in an ESR (electron spin resonance) spectrum using Mn.sup.2+ marker. The spectrum contains an ESR signal arising from an unknown sample and an ESR signal arising from a reference sample containing Mn.sup.2+ marker. The resonating magnetic field strengths H.sub.ci and H.sub.cj of two absorption lines of the six absorption lines arising from Mn.sup.2+ are calculated from the applied microwave frequency, the nuclear spin quantum numbers m.sub.Ii and m.sub.Ij producing the two absorption lines, a predetermined g value g.sub.o intrinsic to Mn.sup.2+, and a predetermined isotropic hyperfine coupling constant A. The magnetic field strength H.sub.cx at a position of interest in the ESR spectrum is determined from the distance between the absorption lines, the distance between the position and one of the two absorption lines, and the magnetic field strengths H.sub.ci, H.sub.cj.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 1990Date of Patent: February 19, 1991Assignee: Jeol, Ltd.Inventor: Yukio Mizuta

Patent number: 4725809Abstract: An electrical device that includes a variable resistor and a switch mechanism. The variable resistor has a control element disposed to be moved linearly to change the electrical resistance of the device according to the position of the control element. A switch is positioned adjacent the variable resistor and the switch includes a movable contact holder having a first electrical contact mounted thereon. A second electrical contact is positioned in the switch such that movement of the contact holder selectively brings the first electrical contact into contact with the second electrical contact. An actuator moves the movable contact holder when the control element is at one extremity of a linear movement.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 1986Date of Patent: February 16, 1988Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai Rika Denki Seisakusho SeisakushoInventor: Yukio Mizuta

Patent number: 4725808Abstract: A switching device has employed a linearly operating variable resistor in place of the rotatively operating variable resistor. The switching device comprises a guide shaft and an operating knob rotatably slidably mounted thereon. The knob has an actuating arm extending from the guide shaft which mates with a longitudinal groove of a contact holder. The contact holder is movable between a first and second position by rotation of the operating knob about the guide shaft. An operating element linearly movable relative to the axis of the guide shaft, is mated with the operating knob to move the operating element to selectively adjust the variable resistor.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 1986Date of Patent: February 16, 1988Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai Rika Denki SeisakushoInventor: Yukio Mizuta

Patent number: 4720608Abstract: A switching device equipped with a plurality of operating elements has one of the operating elements installed in the switching device pressed in a direction different from the direction in which the other elements are pressed and a single lock plate provided with a counter part formed on each operating element to hold the operating element in the depressed state and releasing its hold based on the operation of pressing the operating element. The lock plate allows depression of only one operating element a time.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 1986Date of Patent: January 19, 1988Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai Rika Denki SeisakushoInventor: Yukio Mizuta

Patent number: 4688156Abstract: A light-shielding screen device comprising a first light transmissible substrate, a second light transmissible substrate and an intermediate layer sandwiched therebetween, the intermediate layer comprising at least one light-shielding screen portion located in the middle area of the intermediate layer and a light non-transmissible retaining portion located at least in a portion of the remaining area of the intermediate layer, the portion of the remaining area including the entire outermost peripheral area of the intermediate layer. The light non-transmissible retaining portion of the intermediate layer of the present light-shielding screen device securely retains on its both sides the first and second light transmissible substrates, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: April 25, 1985Date of Patent: August 18, 1987Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha TokaiInventors: Akira Suzuki, Yukio Mizuta, Rejiro Sato, Kunio Shimizu

Patent number: 4379954Abstract: An improved combination switching arrangement for use in a motor vehicle or the like includes a plurality of actuators to be displaced by operation of a control lever, and a switch unit having a switch base on which switch elements to be selectively opened or closed by the movements of the actuators are fixed. The switch elements are disposed on the upper surface and the under surface of the switch base, while at least one set of the actuators are movably provided at the upper and under surfaces of the switch base so as to be connected to each other through an opening formed in the switch base for simple construction and compact size of the switching arrangement.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 1980Date of Patent: April 12, 1983Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai Rika Denki SeisakushoInventors: Masayosi Iwata, Harumi Douke, Yoshikazu Hayashi, Tadashi Yokoyama, Yukio Mizuta
