  • Patent number: 8882683
Abstract: A physiological sound examination device which supports estimation of a state of a living body includes a first physiological sound measurement unit; a second physiological sound measurement unit; a power ratio calculation unit which calculates a power ratio which is a ratio of first physiological sound signal power to second physiological sound signal power; and an illness-related gain calculation unit which calculates a transfer-characteristic of the physiological sound in the living body by computing the power ratio. A power calculation unit which calculates first power which is the second physiological sound signal power in a first frequency band; and an illness-related high frequency power ratio calculation unit which calculates a sound-source-characteristic of the physiological sound by computing the first power. The computing is performed to reduce an influence of the respiratory flow velocity and/or the size of the living body.

  • Patent number: 4324711
Abstract: A melt-adhesive traffic paint composition having improved low temperature stability is disclosed which comprises 20-35% by weight of a dimer acid-modified polyamide resin, 1-5% by weight of a plasticizer, 30-45% by weight of an inorganic filler, and balance a coloring pigment and a reflective agent. The composition may further comprise a thermoplastic resin such as hydrogenated rosin or a rosin-modified maleic acid resin. The resultant paint has improved low temperature stability and improved abrasion resistance and is thus highly resistant to the action of spike tires or tire chains.

  • Patent number: 4301050
Abstract: A road marking composition comprising a resin having a melt viscosity of from about 30 to 80 cps at 150.degree. C. and a modifier composed of at least one metal oxide of at least one metal selected from Groups II and IV of short form of the Periodic Table. The resin may be rosin-modified maleic resin, hydrogenated resin, rosin ester, polyamide, and petroleum resin. Optionally, a polar wax and/or a surfactant may be present. Fillers and extenders include: pigments, glass beads, clay, plaster, slaked lime, alumina diatomaceous earth, sand, and plasticizers.

  • Patent number: 4017222
Abstract: A pump for use in a paint application apparatus which is so constructed that there is provided a clearance between an appropriate portion of an internal surface of a casing of the pump and an external periphery of protruded portions of a rotor of the pump, and there is provided another clearance between an internal periphery of the protruded portions of the rotor and an external periphery of a cylinder section of a grand box of the pump. Further, in the pump, an appropriate portion of the internal surface of the casing of the pump, the external and internal peripheries of the rotor of the pump and the external periphery each of the cylinder section of the grand boxes are made hard by quenching, applying thereto an extremely hard alloy or spraying thereonto a hard material such as molybdenum.

  • Patent number: 4011993
Abstract: An apparatus which is used for paint application to a road surface comprises a paint supply means provided with a valve means rotatably fitted in a bore-like space which is formed longitudinally in the body of the supply means, a plurality of orifices in two rows in an opposite relation on a lower portion of said paint supply means for paint discharging, a pair of rollers each provided on the external periphery thereof and in the axial direction of the roller with a vast plurality of projecting teeth and grooves formed side by side with the projecting teeth, said rollers being attached to said paint supply means to rotate inwardly and disposed adjacent said orifices, and a pair of cover members each adapted to cover one of the rollers. With the arrangement mentioned above, the paint having a high viscosity can be discharged sufficiently and effectively to draw or produce lines which have a fixed width and thickness of paint on the road surface without regard to the rise and fall of the road surface.

  • Patent number: 3960326
Abstract: An apparatus for applying a paint on a road which comprises a paint supply means provided with a plurality of orifices in two rows in an opposite relation on a lower portion of said paint supply means for discharging paint, a tank provided on the top of said paint supply means for containing a paint, a pair of wire roll brushes attached to said paint supply means to rotate inwardly and disposed adjacent said orifices, and a pair of roll brush-cover members each having a sharp edge at the other end which is disposed in a position to touch the lower side of said wire roll brushes. With such paint supplying apparatus, the paint is prevented from scattering in an undesirable direction and consequently there can be drawn or produced lines which have a fixed width and thickness of paint on the road surface without regard to the rise and fall of the road surface.
