  • Patent number: 8983791
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a carbon dioxide separation recovery system includes an absorption tower that allows carbon dioxide to be absorbed to an absorption liquid, a regeneration tower that regenerates the absorption liquid, a reboiler that heats the absorption liquid of the regeneration tower, using a heating medium, and a measuring device that measures an amount of heat supplied to the absorption liquid from the heating medium. The measuring device includes a cooler that cools the heating medium discharged from the reboiler, and obtains the amount of heat that is supplied to the absorption liquid from the heating medium by subtracting an amount of heat that is retained by the heating medium cooled by the cooler and an amount of heat, which is removed from the heating medium in the cooler, from an amount of heat that is retained by the heating medium supplied to the reboiler.

  • Patent number: 8926919
Abstract: After absorbing oxygen together with carbon dioxide in an absorber 103, absorbing liquid 104a is supplied to oxygen collecting units 13 and 14. The oxygen collecting units 13 and 14 include silver to collect the oxygen in the absorbing liquid 104a and eliminate the oxygen from the absorbing liquid 104a. A regenerating unit 15 separates and recovers the oxygen collected in one of the two oxygen collecting units 13 and 14 to regenerate the oxygen collecting unit when the other oxygen collecting unit is supplied with the absorbing liquid 104a. A continuous operation can be achieved by switching and using the two oxygen collecting units 13 and 14.

  • Patent number: 8568520
Abstract: In an embodiment, a CO2 recovery system has an absorber, a regenerator, and a circulation device. An absorption liquid has an aqueous solution of amine having an alcohol group, and dimethyl silicone oil in which a part of methyl groups is substituted by at least one type selected from an aminoalkyl group, a carboxyl group, and a hydroxyl-containing alkyl group. The absorber contacts a combustion exhaust gas of a fossil fuel and the absorption liquid to absorb CO2, which is contained in the combustion exhaust gas, into the absorption liquid. The regenerator releases CO2 by applying thermal energy to the CO2-absorbed absorption liquid. A circulation device circulates the absorption liquid between the absorber and the regenerator.

  • Patent number: 6338239
Abstract: A turbine system and method for power generation has an electric generator, a reformer, a cooler, a fuel compressor, an air compressor, a combustor, a turbine, an evaporator. The reformer reforms fuel containing a mixture of hydrocarbon gas and steam to produce hydrogen and carbon dioxide. To enhance reformation, the reformation is carried out under pressure at 7 ata or less. To aid compression, the cooler cools the reformed fuel before the compressor compresses the reformed fuel. The combustor burns air compressed by the air compressor, which is driven by the turbine, and the reformed fuel received from the fuel compressor to generate hot gas. The turbine receives the hot gas from the combustor and drives the generator to generate electricity. The reformer receives the hot gas discharged from the turbine as a heat source to heat the fuel and chemically reform the fuel.

  • Patent number: 5796041
Abstract: A waterproof protective cover including an identifying portion which is capable of identifying a predetermined position in a chamber for receiving a connection part of electric wires in an insertion direction. The identifying portion is formed outside a side wall of either upper casing member or lower casing member. By taking advantage of the identifying portion, the connection part of electric wires can be positioned at a predetermined position in a chamber defined by the upper and lower casing members. Moreover, the chamber for receiving the connection part of electric wires has no change in a capacity thereof, so that a filling amount of the sealant is not reduced; therefore, sealing performance can be improved.

  • Patent number: 5569882
Abstract: A waterproof protective cover includes an upper casing member and a lower casing member pivotably connected to the upper casing member through a hinge. When the upper casing member is fitted to the lower casing member, a storage chamber for accommodating a connection part of connected wires is defined by the casing members. The upper and lower casing members are provided on respective interior walls thereof with reinforcement ribs which extend in the longitudinal direction of the casing members and which are positioned between the electrical wires accommodated in the casing members. With the arrangement, it is possible to increase the rigidity of the upper and lower casing members.
