  • Patent number: 9550463
Abstract: A vehicle body end section structure is obtained that enables a spacer member that transmits load to a framework member in a small overlap collision to be suppressed from impinging on a wheel in a minor collision. The vehicle body end section structure comprises a pair of left and right framework members, a bumper framework section connected to leading end portions of the pair of framework members, and a spacer member that projects out from a jutting-out portion of the bumper framework section toward a framework member side. The spacer member is disposed such that a rotation trajectory of the spacer member about a connection location between the bumper framework section and the framework member, the connection location is positioned on an opposite side in the vehicle width direction of the spacer member, does not impinge on a wheel in plan view.

  • Publication number: 20110233965
Abstract: A structure (14) in which two structural members (18, 20) that each include thick portion and that have a plurality of bolt holes (26, 28, 30, 32) wherein the two structural members are overlapped at the thick portion and fastened together with bolts (42) at the plurality of bolt holes. In this structure, a certain amount of play is provided respectively for the bolts (42) at the bolt holes (26, 28, 30, 32) so that a shear force resulting from an external force applied to the structure (14) acting on the bolts (42) is even after at least one of the two structural members is deformed by the external force.

  • Publication number: 20100058963
Abstract: A method for disposing of an organic waste of high water content according to the present invention, includes: a step in which by means of a heat exchanger (22), a heat exchange is carried out between superheated steam and exhaust gas extracted by a cyclone (2b) of a suspension preheater (2), the high temperature superheated steam that was subjected to the heat exchange is introduced to a dryer (23), thereby drying any organic sludge into a dried organic waste, and by means of the heat exchanger (22), the superheated steam used for the drying is subjected to another heat exchange, thereby recycling the superheated steam in the drying of the organic sludge; and a step in which the resulting dried organic sludge is supplied to a precalcining furnace (3) as fuel and combusted.

  • Patent number: 7614685
Abstract: A vehicle side door structure includes an inner panel, an outer panel that is positioned on the outside of the inner panel in the vehicle-width direction, and that forms a closed space in cooperation with the inner panel. In addition, an impact beam extends in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle body, and is arranged within the closed space at a position close to the outer panel, a bracket is attached to the inner panel and holds, at a portion which is on the inner side of the inner panel in the vehicle-width direction, a collision detector, and a load transmission member connects the impact beam to the inner panel at a portion that overlaps the bracket from a lateral view.

  • Patent number: 5078820
Abstract: Apparatus and method for pressure and heat sticking a thin film to a base plate. The thin film and a base plate on a film like carrier are introduced into a vacuum chamber having upper and lower contact members for compressing the thin film, base member and carrier into a stratified body. The thin film and base plate are held separate from one another in the chamber. The lower contact member moves upward to contact the carrier and base plate and to compress the stratified body between it and the upper contact member. The upper contact member is convex in shape and made of an elastic material so that the contact pressure on the thin film and base plate starts near the center and spreads toward the periphery resulting in improved sticking of thin film to the base plate with no air bubbles and no wrinkling. The pressure is applied in a vacuum or reduced atmospheric pressure and heat is simultaneously applied. A further compression in the air at atmospheric pressure is carried out by a heat and pressure roller.

  • Patent number: 4767240
Abstract: An underwater pile-framed structure comprises a plurality of upright piles 11 arranged in two parallel and spaced rows, reinforcing cages 13 surrounding the piles in peripherally spaced relationship thereto, and precast block stacks 22, 23 connecting together the piles in the two rows and surrounding individual pile-cage assemblies in each row. The piles are driven into the seabed in two spaced and parallel rows, the reinforcing cages are lowered over the piles to predetermined positions, the blocks are stacked over the cages to connect together the pile-cage assemblies in the two rows, and concrete is poured into the annular clearances between the piles and the block stacks.
