A cardiopulmonary resuscitation system which includes: a sternum compression unit that repeats a sternum compression cycle having, as one cycle, a compression period and a recoil period; an artificial respiration unit that repeats an artificial respiration cycle having, as one cycle, an inhalation period and an exhalation period and can supply oxygen administering gas to a patient during the recoil period; and a control means (not illustrated) that controls the artificial respiration unit and/or the sternum compression unit, and the controller judges, for each recoil period, whether supply of oxygen administering gas is required and sends a supply instruction signal to administer oxygen administering gas to the artificial respiration means unless it is judged that supply of the oxygen administering gas is not required.

The all-item display screen may be switched to an input item display screen in response to a switch instruction, wherein the input item display screen displays the at least one of the display setting items, the received data, and the other item.

Abstract: An order display apparatus disclosed in this application includes an extracting unit and a generating unit in one aspect. The extracting unit extracts orders having a designated period within the implementation periods thereof, from a storage unit that stores change information indicating the relationships between one order among orders issued by doctors and the other orders among the issued orders, and the implementation period during which the one order is executed. If the orders extracted by the extracting unit include a second order having the change information indicating that the second order has been changed from a first order, the generating unit performs the following operation. The generating unit has the first order and the second order displayed adjacent to each other on a display screen that displays at least some of the extracted orders in accordance with the passage of time during the designated period.

Abstract: According to the invention, techniques for verifying that data input as a response to presented contents is true input data for a content access. In a representative embodiment according to the present invention, there is provided an electronic authentication method that comprises a variety of steps, such as a step of generating an identifier for contents in a first information processing apparatus and storing the identifier in a storage unit. Transmitting the contents and the identifier to a second information processing apparatus can also be part of the method. Steps of inputting data for the contents in the second information processing apparatus and transmitting the input data and the identifier from the second information apparatus to the first information apparatus can also be included in the method.

Abstract: In a molten metal plating apparatus all surfaces of a sinking roller and a supporting roller to be in contact with a molten metal are coated with iron silicide films. A bearing comprises a holder made of a heat resistant steel and lined with a carbon-carbon fiber complex material. A surface of the holder is coated with an Fe3Si film similar to the sinking roller. There is an Fe3Si film on a surface of a shaft portion, and the Fe3Si is in contact with and slides on the carbon-carbon fiber complex material.

Abstract: The image forming apparatus includes a frame, a top cover pivotally mounted to the frame, a lock member for locking the top cover onto the frame, a plurality of printing assemblies, a fixing device, and a paper conveyor belt. Each of the printing assemblies having a photosensitive body, a charger, an optical head for forming an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive body, a developing device, and a transfer element. An optical sensor is used to read marks formed on the paper conveyor belt. The top cover opens an optical passage of the optical sensor when the apparatus is in operation and shuts off the optical passage when the apparatus is not in operation.

Each of the printing assemblies includes a photosensitive body, a charger, an optical head for forming an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive body, a developing device, and a transfer element. The optical heads are mounted to the top cover. A cover lifting mechanism is provided for lifting the top cover by a predetermined amount relative to the frame when the lock member is released. The lifting mechanism includes a spring loaded rod which is linked to a cover releasing button.

Abstract: Fiber bundle reinforced composite material useful for various high temperature structural members having excellent strength, toughness and resistance to oxidation and a process for producing the same. The fiber bundle reinforced composite material is reinforced with fiber bundles each having a plurality of continuous inorganic fibers bundled with medium such as carbon, being oriented in one, two or three directions, or randomly in the matrix which is reinforced with nano-sized particles precipitated. The fiber bundle reinforced composite material has a desired orientation of fibers and enables production of fiber bundle reinforced composite members having excellent strength and toughness.

Abstract: A cyclic depsipeptide having the general formula (I) ##STR1## (wherein n is an integer of 5-15) or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof. The present compound can be prepared by cultivation of a cyclic depsipeptide-producing microorganism belonging to the genus of Bacillus. The present compounds are useful as a therapeutic agent for hyperlipemia, an agent for inhibiting the secretion of lipids or an agent for inhibiting the production of apolipoprotein B.

Abstract: A bobbin changing apparatus for a flyer frame which allows works to freely be performed by attendants at a front side of the flyer frame at any time during the operation of the flyer frame, while eliminating need for providing independent rails for transporting full bobbins and empty bobbins, respectively. Disposed at a front side of a flyer frame (2) is a work platform (35) on which the number of pegs (49) which is twice as large as that of bobbin wheels are mounted with a pitch equal to a half of that of the bobbin wheels (4). Each of the pegs (49) can selectively be disposed at an operative position on a top surface of a cover plate (41) and to a retracted position retracted from the top surface. Abstract: The surface of a member formed of at least one kind of ceramics, metals and C/C composites, is covered with an outermost surface oxide covering layer having a stability against the environment in the atmospheric air at 1500.degree. C.; and a self-recoverable layer as an intermediate layer formed between the outermost surface oxide covering layer and the surface of the member. The self-recoverable layer has an oxidizing rate greater than that of the outermost surface covering layer for recovering cracks generated on the outermost surface covering layer, and a compound produced by the self-recoverable layer has the same phase as in the outermost surface covering layer. To achieve the optimum self-recovering function at high temperatures, the outermost surface oxide covering layer may be made of a stable oxide having a vapor pressure of 1.times.10.sup.-4 /m.sup.2 or less in the atmospheric air at 1500.degree. C.

Abstract: An interface connector is disclosed which is inexpensive to manufacture and easy to assemble and able to maintain a sufficient strength of hooks when being engaged with a mating connector. An insulator of the connector covered with a shell includes flanges. Each of the flanges is provided with an engaging aperture having a size allowing a hook to be inserted thereinto in the surface of the flange on the fitting side with a mating connector and a further engaging aperture having a size allowing an earth plate to be inserted thereinto in the end surface of the flange. The two engaging apertures are connected each other in the flange. The hook is provided with anchoring portions engaging the earth plate. The earth plate is also provided on its inner end with engaging portions engaging the hook. The hook and the earth plate are connected to each other in the two engaging apertures.
