  • Patent number: 4414135
Abstract: A catalyst comprising sodium and cesium as a cationic component and at least one of bromine and fluorine as an anionic component in addition to silver which is a typical conventional catalyst component for the production of ethylene oxide by oxidation of ethylene. Use of the catalyst of the invention gives ethylene oxide at an improved selectivity.

  • Patent number: 4361394
Abstract: In the method for scanning light beam in a xerographic recording using a laser light beam spots to scan on a photoreceptor the quality of the recorded image is improved by increasing size of the light beam spot when the irradiation spot scanning on the photoreceptor has neighboring spots to be irradiated. For detecting whether the neighboring spots are the spots to be irradiated or not, three shift registers 12, 13 and 14 and a NOR circuit 15 are used, and the output of the NOR circuit controls analog circuit 161 which switches amount of the laser current.

  • Patent number: 4219968
Abstract: A motor vehicle door window glass system which includes a door window glass which is formed in the shape of a composite spindle surface wherein the composite spindle surface is formed by smoothly connecting together a plurality of spindle surfaces in a vertical direction so that the radius of curvature along any vertical section of the window glass decreases in a downward direction, a raising and lowering device which raises and lowers the door window glass so that it moves into and out of the space between a door outer panel and a door inner panel and a guide means which guides the door window glass so that the glass successively rotates about a different central axis of the respective spindle surfaces which constitute the composite spindle surface of the door window glass when the raising and lowering device is operated.
