  • Patent number: 5335547
Abstract: The distance sensor means and the ultrasonic probe are integrally coupled to each other in such a manner that a preceding scanning line to a current scanning line which is scanned by the ultrasonic probe is scanned by the distance sensor means, and the shape-measurement scanning operation of the distance sensor means and the flaw-detection scanning operation of the ultrasonic probe are performed in parallel with each other. A flaw detection area is divided into plural sub-areas, and plural storing areas are arranged in a mesh form in one-to-one correspondence to the sub-areas, only one shape information of position storing area including the flaw detection area being stored in each of the storing areas. The position and orientation of the ultrasonic probe at each flaw detection point is controlled using the stored shape information.

  • Patent number: 5220459
Abstract: An optical disc driving device for use in an optical disc apparatus is equipped with an objective lens, a lens holder for holding this lens, and upper and lower support springs for supporting the lens holder. Each support spring consists of a pair of conductive springs which are electrically separated from each other in a plane. Each pair of conductive springs includes straight spring sections extending straight to pass a central axis which is parallel to the optical axis of the lens holder and which passes the center of gravity of the same. End portions of these conductive springs are joined to the lens holder by means of rubber members.

  • Patent number: 5119189
Abstract: A stereoscopic imaging system enabling observation of a stereoscopic image due to parallax by reproducing, on a single screen in an image-reproducing means two kinds of images of an object which are taken by two imaging units and between which there is parallax and by observing the images in such a manner that the left and right eyes of the observer observe only the separate images taken by the separate imaging units corresponding to the left and right eyes, wherein there is provided swing means for mechanically or electronically shifting the optical axes of the respective lenses of said two imaging units, by which swing means the observer can view a stereoscopic image without fatigue and in a natural condition.
