  • Patent number: 7505077
Abstract: A lighting control apparatus of a photographing apparatus comprises a lighting device, a continuous imaging control processor, and a pulse-signal generating processor. The lighting device illuminates a photographic subject by receiving a pulse signal which has a certain cycle. The continuous imaging control processor performs a continuous imaging operation where a plurality of images of the photographic subject are continuously imaged. The pulse-signal generating processor supplies the pulse signal to the lighting device with a first duty ratio in the exposure time, and with a second duty ratio which is smaller than the first duty ratio in a post-exposure time which is the time between the exposure time termination and the next exposure time start.

  • Publication number: 20080084505
Abstract: A dust removal apparatus of a photographing apparatus comprises a movable unit, a detector, and a controller. The movable unit has an imaging device and is movable. The detector is used for specifying a holding position of the photographing apparatus in relationship to the direction of gravity. The controller moves the movable unit on a plane that is parallel to a first direction and a second direction. The first direction is perpendicular to an optical axis of a photographing optical system that captures an optical image on a photographing surface of the imaging device. The second direction is perpendicular to the optical axis. The controller strikes the movable unit against a boundary of a range of movement of the movable unit in one of the first direction and the second direction, on the basis of the holding position, as a dust removal operation.

  • Publication number: 20080084492
Abstract: A dust removal apparatus of a photographing apparatus comprises a movable unit and a controller. The movable unit has an imaging device and is movable. The controller strikes the movable unit against a boundary of a range of movement of the movable unit as a dust removal operation. The controller counts the number of times of the dust removal operation, measures an elapsed time from the point when counting the number of times of the dust removal operation commences. When the elapsed time is less than or equal to a time period and the number of times of the dust removal operation is equal to or greater than a predetermined number of times, the controller halts the dust removal operation until a predetermined time period has elapsed.

  • Publication number: 20080084479
Abstract: An angular-velocity detector comprises a first sensor, a second sensor, and a controller. The first sensor is used for detecting motion around an axis of a second direction perpendicular to a first direction. The second sensor is used for detecting motion around an axis of the first direction. The controller performs an operation that corrects an output error caused by an angle of inclination of the second sensor by using a first correction coefficient that is a ratio of a second amplitude to a first amplitude. The first amplitude is amplitude of output value from the first sensor when the angular-velocity detector is in first motion around an axis of the second direction without second motion around an axis of the first direction. The second amplitude is amplitude of output value from the second sensor when the angular-velocity detector is in the first motion without the second motion.
