  • Patent number: 8150571
Abstract: If a user applies a brake system while an electric vehicle that includes a battery is moving and it is confirmed that the user is not simultaneously applying the accelerator, a comparison is made between an actual deceleration and an expected deceleration corresponding to the user demand sensed by the braking system. If the actual deceleration is lower than the expected deceleration, an amount of regenerative electric current supplied to the battery is increased to better correlate the expected deceleration and the actual deceleration.

  • Publication number: 20090033288
Abstract: To reduce the size and weight of a vehicle including a battery and a charger, which is not mounted on the vehicle, for charging the battery with a charging current supplied from a power source. A vehicle 1 includes a battery 3 for discharging electricity to an electric motor 2 for driving the vehicle 1 to run. A charger 10 that is not mounted on the vehicle 1 is provided. The charger 10 can charge the battery 3 with a charging current supplied from a power source 8. At least one of the vehicle 1 and the charger 10 includes a charging storage device 18, 20 for storing charging history of the battery 3. The battery 3 is charged via the charger 10 based on the charging history stored in the charging storage device 18, 20.

  • Publication number: 20080224842
Abstract: When a user initiates a braking operation, an accelerator position is checked to see if the accelerator opening is about zero, a deceleration threshold value is computed based upon a brake pedal effort, the deceleration of the vehicle is obtained based upon the pedal effort, and an actual deceleration value is obtained by detecting a speed of the vehicle over time. If it is confirmed that an accelerator opening is zero, a comparison is made between the pedal-effort based deceleration threshold value and the actual deceleration are compared to determine if the brake has worn sufficiently to warrant maintenance.

  • Publication number: 20080218122
Abstract: A charger and a vehicle body battery are connected together via a connector. The vehicle body includes a first CPU that determines if the vehicle body battery is being charged or not. The charger includes a second CPU that transmits a charging signal to indicate that the vehicle body is being charged. The connector connects the first CPU and the second CPU. The battery is charged by the charger. The charging signal has a periodicity with a combination of ON signals and OFF signals. The first CPU disables travel of the vehicle body only while the periodicity of the charging signal is continued.

  • Patent number: 7362065
Abstract: Several embodiments of electric vehicle control and control apparatus wherein the amount of regenerative braking of the vehicle and the type of braking is determined by current conditions to provide simpler and more effective control regardless of condition of the power source for the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20020071127
Abstract: The present invention provides a positioning apparatus in which the correction of discordance between the probe card and TAB can be performed easily and quickly. The positioning apparatus of the present invention comprises a probe card, TAB, arithmetic processing unit, and an automatic XY-moving mechanism. In the positioning apparatus, coordinates which denote a position of an optionally selected probe of the probe card and a position of a test pad of the TAB in which the probe is expected to make contact are entered into the arithmetic processing unit. The arithmetic processing unit automatically calculates corrective distances for contacting the test pad and probe, and outputs a signal corresponding to the corrective distances to the automatic XY-moving mechanism. The automatic XY-moving mechanism automatically moves the probe card toward the TAB in proportion to the corrective distances.

  • Patent number: 5453699
Abstract: A TAB tester for recognizing image on or before testing the TAB so as to prevent erroneous detection. There are provided first, second and third image cameras. The second image camera is disposed upstream relative to a first sprocket, namely, at the front stage of measurement of a tape carrier and it takes a second image of the TAB and outputs a second image to an image processing unit. The third image camera is disposed downstream relative to a punch unit, namely, at the rear stage of the measurement of the tape carrier and it takes a third image of the TAB and outputs the third image to the image processing unit. The image processing unit converts the second and third images into second and third processed image data. The second processed image data is supplied to a control unit where it is stored as data of necessity of measurement of the TAB.
