Abstract: A composition comprising the dihydrate of the calcium salt of 3-hydroxy-5-methylisoxazole and cupric hydroxide and a method of protecting crops by applying the composition to plants or a locus thereof.

Abstract: A combination of 3-hydroxy-5-methylisoxazole with an antimicrobial agent has good agricultural fungicidal activity which lasts longer than 3-hydroxy-5-methylisoxazole alone. The dihydrate of the calcium salt of 3-hydroxy-5-methylisoxazole has advantages over the free 3-hydroxy-5-methylisoxazole, other salts and the anhydrous compound.

Abstract: Compounds of formula (I): ##STR1## [in which: A represents a group of formula --CH.dbd.CH-- or --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --;R.sup.1 represents a halogen atom;R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy group, a halogen atom, an alkyl group or an alkoxy group;R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom; andY represents a hydroxy group, a halogen atom, an alkylamino group, a dialkylamino group, an alkenylamino group, a dialkenylamino group, an anilino group (in which the aromatic ring is unsubstituted or has one or two substituents selected from halogen atoms and alkyl groups), a cycloalkylamino group, a 1-pyrrolidinyl group, a piperidino group, a morpholino group, a group of formula ##STR2## (in which R.sup.4 represents an alkyl group or a phenyl group) or a group of formula ##STR3## (in which A, R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are as defined above)] are useful agricultural fungicides having greater systemic activity and chemical stability than known compounds of similar structure.

Abstract: 6-(3- And/or 5-halophenyl)pyridazines having an N-substituted carbamoyloxy, carbamoylthio, thiocarbamoyloxy or thiocarbamoylthio group at the 3- position on they pyridazine system and 6-(3- and/or 5-halophenyl)-3-pyridazone derivatives having a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbyloxycarbonyl substituent at the 2-position of the pyridazine ring have good fungicidal activity, making them useful as agricultural fungicides suitable for application to seeds, plants and agricultural land, and can be prepared by reacting the corresponding 6-substituted pyridazone or pyridazinethione with the corresponding carbamoyl halide or halocarbonate.

Abstract: Agricultural fungicidal compositions containing as an active ingredient one or more of 6-(substitutedphenyl)-3(2H)-pyridazinone compounds, salts thereof and 6-(substituted-phenyl)-4,5-dihydro-3(2H)-pyridazinone compounds, as well as new pyridazinone compounds having fungicidal activities.
