Abstract: A condenser for an axial flow exhaust type steam turbine having a condenser unit which condenses steam exhausted from the steam turbine as directly contacting cooling water from a spray nozzle, a cooling tower which generates the cooling water as receiving and accumulating water condensed by the condenser unit, a water circulating pipe which supplies water condensed by the condenser unit to the cooling tower, a water return circulating pipe which supplies the cooling water generated by the cooling tower to the condenser unit, and wherein a pump is arranged at the water return circulating pipe.
