  • Patent number: 11376235
Abstract: To provide a novel inflammasome inhibitor capable of inhibiting activation of inflammasome, the present inventors newly found that arctigenin reduces the amount of 1L-1? released and the amount of activated caspase-1 upon stimulation with ATP, palmitic acid, MSU and Poly(dA:dT) and thus has an effect of inhibiting inflammasome activation. The present invention provides an inhibitor of inflammasome activation that comprises arctigenin as an active ingredient.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 8, 2017
Date of Patent: July 5, 2022
    Assignee: KRACIE HOLDINGS, LTD.
Inventors: Shimpei Watanabe, Ayako Arai, Yuichi Takajo, Satoshi Inamasu, Satoshi Yomoda, Akiko Ohno, Yuko Kitahara, Taisaku Kanatani

  • Patent number: 7039458
Abstract: Measurements by use of a conventional caliper process require skills and experiences. Further, since different pregnant women gain and keep fats in their bodies in different ways, results of measurements of their body fats vary. To overcome the inconvenience, there is provided a system for measuring a percent body fat or a total body fat by a bioelectrical impedance method, which comprises first input means, second input means and computation means, wherein personal data of a patient such as a height and a body weight is input into the first input means, a weight of a fetal part is input into the second input means, and the computation means computes a percent body fat or a total body fat by subtracting the body weight input into the second input means from the body weight input into the first input means.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: May 2, 2006
    Assignee: Tanita Corporation
Inventors: Yasuo Ueda, Motoyoshi Maruo, Yoshihiko Ashitaka, Yuka Honda, Yuko Kitahara
