  • Publication number: 20050102122
Abstract: A model detection apparatus comprises a number of estimate parameter memories for storing mutually different distribution estimate parameters representing occurrences of input data. A number of distribution estimators are respectively associated with the parameter memories for producing distribution estimate parameters from data stored in the associated parameter memories and from a series of input data, and updating the associated parameter memories with the produced parameters. A model series memory stores candidate models corresponding in number to the parameter memories. A model series estimator produces candidate models using the series of input data, the stored distribution estimate parameters and the stored candidate models, and updates the model series memory with the produced candidate models. An optimal model series calculator calculates an optimal series of models from the candidate models stored in the model series memory.

  • Patent number: 6765641
Abstract: A display device, with a pair of substrates provided so as to face each other with a display medium interposed therebetween, includes, on a first substrate of the pair of substrates: switching elements disposed in a matrix; scanning lines and signal lines disposed so as to cross each other; and an interlayer insulating film provided so as to have the switching elements, the scanning lines and the signal lines on one surface thereof and pixel electrodes on the other surface thereof. Each of the pixel electrodes is electrically connected to a drain electrode of one of the switching elements via a contact hole which penetrates through the interlayer insulating film. The interlayer insulating film is made of an organic thin film having a high transparency and covers at least the switching elements, the scanning lines and the signal lines.

  • Patent number: 6407573
Abstract: A transistor having a longer channel length and serving as a reference, and a transistor having a shorter channel length and to be subjected to effective channel length extraction are prepared (step ST1.1). A hypothetical point at which a change in a total drain-to-source resistance is estimated to be approximately zero when a gate overdrive is slightly changed is extracted in a mask channel length versus total drain-to-source resistance plane. The values of a function (F) are calculated which are defined by the difference between the rate of change in the total drain-to-source resistance and the product of a channel resistance per unit length and the rate of change in a mask channel length at the hypothetical points (step ST1.6). A true threshold voltage of the transistor having the shorter channel length is determined by a shift amount (&dgr;) which minimizes the standard deviation of the function (F) determined in the step ST1.7 (step ST1.10).
