  • Publication number: 20100215703
Abstract: To provide a vesicle-containing composition wherein the stability is improved and the rate of releasing drug or perfume is sufficiently restricted during administration in vivo or application to the skin surface. Silica polymerization on the outer surfaces of vesicles is facilitated by adding a specifically structured water-soluble silane derivative to an aqueous composition containing the vesicles composed of a surfactant and mixing them together, and vesicle-silica composites having silica-coated outer surfaces can be obtained, resulting in the improved stability of the vesicle-containing composition as well as the improved effect of restricting the rate of releasing drug or perfume during administration in vivo or application to the skin surface.

  • Publication number: 20100080832
Abstract: To provide a vesicle-containing composition wherein a perfume component is stably incorporated in the vesicle bilayer membrane composed of a silicone surfactant and to provide a simple production method of the vesicle-containing composition wherein a perfume component is stably incorporated. A vesicle-containing composition comprising; (A) a perfume, (B) a silicone oil, (C) a silicone surfactant, (D) one or more selected from the group consisting of ethanol, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, and 1,3-butylene glycol, and (E) water; wherein the (C) silicone surfactant forms vesicles, and the (A) perfume and the (B) silicone oil are present in the vesicle bilayer membrane.

  • Publication number: 20100016200
Abstract: The present invention provides new silica composite capsules that can be easily prepared, a composition containing the silica composite capsules, and a transparent gel-form composition excellent in appearance transparency and texture in use, and in particular, a transparent gel-form composition with improved cleansing properties when used as a cleanser. Micelle/silica composite capsules can easily be obtained, in an aqueous system, by mixing a material capable of forming micelles in water and a water-soluble silane derivative having a specific structure in aqueous solution. In addition, emulsion/silica composite capsules wherein the periphery of emulsion particles in the inner phase is coated with silica, can easily be obtained by mixing a surfactant, water, an oil, and a water-soluble silane derivative having a specific structure.

  • Publication number: 20090258068
Abstract: The present invention provides a powder that can display excellent protection ability in both UV-A and UV-B regions. The titanium oxide-zinc oxide aggregate powder comprises an aggregate formed by the aggregation of porous titanium oxide particles and zinc oxide particles, and said porous titanium oxide particle is an aggregate of primary fine particles of titanium oxide. The production method of the titanium oxide-zinc oxide aggregate powder comprises the steps of: (a) hydrolyzing, with heating, an aqueous solution containing a titanium salt and an aliphatic alcohol; (b) adding a water-soluble zinc salt to a suspension of a precipitate obtained by the hydrolysis with heating in step (a), and then neutralizing the suspension with an alkali; and (c) calcining a precipitate obtained by the neutralization in step (b).
