    Abstract: The method for implementing transmitting diversity includes receiving a symbol from a destination mobile terminal, by a mobile terminal which is in the same mobile terminal group with the destination mobile terminal, wherein the symbol is also sent from the destination mobile terminal to a base station; and processing, by the mobile terminal, the symbol and transmitting the symbol processed to the base station. The method for implementing receiving diversity includes receiving, by a mobile terminal, a symbol from a base station; finding a destination mobile terminal which is in the same mobile terminal group with the mobile terminal if the mobile terminal is not the destination of the symbol; and forwarding the symbol to the destination mobile terminal. Embodiments of the present invention solve the problem of excessive size of a mobile terminal used for implementing transmitting diversity and receiving diversity, and also reduces bit error rate (BER).

    Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for space-time coding and decoding in a wireless communication system with multiple antennas including: generating an orthogonal matrix according to signals to be transmitted; generating a coefficient matrix corresponding to the orthogonal matrix according to channel status information received; and generating a transmission matrix according to the orthogonal matrix and the coefficient matrix; performing a weight-combination for received signals according to channel status information in a receiver; and obtaining estimations of transmitted signals corresponding to the received signals by performing detection for the received signals. The present invention also provides apparatuses for space-time coding and decoding. By applying the present invention, the bit error rate of a system is reduced and bit error performance of the system is improved. And the transmission rate of the system is increased remarkably when there are more than one complex signals to be transmitted.

Identification data, such as device ownership or the nature of the incoming communication, is communicated to and easily recognized by the owner or user of the device by utilizing the electronic circuitry of the device to assign distinct color-codes to identification data therein. The color-codes are then displayed on indicia, integral with the housing of the device, which indicates the nature of the identification data to the owner or user. Thus, the owner or user may quickly and easily identify their own telephonic communication device and the incoming communication, even at a distance away from the location of the device.
