    Abstract: A generator fault detection method based on the characteristics of air gap magnetic flux density includes the following steps: S1: installing detection devices on a generator and building a test platform; S2: obtaining an air gap magnetic flux density signal through the detection devices; S3: transforming a time domain signal of the magnetic flux density into a frequency domain signal by using a fast Fourier transform; S4: judging if the generator has an air gap eccentricity or a stator inter-turn short circuit fault through the comparison of time domain and frequency domain; S5: obtaining a value of air gap magnetic flux density by calculation, selecting and then comparing a root mean square value of magnetic flux density under different working conditions with the root mean square value of magnetic flux density under normal condition to determine a fault degree.

    Abstract: A setting method for a generator stator radial air channel of a permanent magnet synchronous generator belongs to the field of motor technology. In the case of a constant section radial air channel, the adjacent spacing of the radial air channel is changed, and the equal spacing distribution is changed to the unequal spacing distribution. By analyzing the temperature change, the local optimal scheme 1 is determined. On the basis of the local optimal scheme, the size of the radial air channel is changed, and the temperature is analyzed to determine the optimal air channel size, which is the local optimal scheme 2. The equal section radial air channel structure is changed into an unequal section segmented air channel structure, and the local optimal scheme 3 is determined as the global optimal scheme. The setting method effectively reduces thermal damage of the stator winding insulation caused by high temperatures.

The system includes a motor, a synchronous generator, a current transformer, an acquisition card, an infrared temperature sensor, a temperature acquisition instrument and a control terminal. The rotor winding dynamic turn-to-turn short circuit fault of synchronous generator is detected and located by measuring the double judgment standards of the temperature signal of rotor winding and the three-phase current signal of stator winding. The method is easy to operate and has high sensitivity. The detection and location process of the fault is efficient and reliable. The dynamic turn-to-turn short circuit fault can be detected in the early stage of the formation of rotor static turn-to-turn short circuit, so as to reduce the loss of power plant fault shutdown and better meet the needs of practical application.

    Abstract: A permanent magnet generator experimental device for simulating electromechanical cross and complex faults is disclosed. The device includes a base, a DC drive motor, a permanent magnet simulation generator, bearing seats, a stator short circuit wiring board and time relays. A certain degree of radial air-gap eccentricity is set by moving a stator and a stator winding, and then a stator short circuit is set by controlling time relays; or a certain degree of axial air-gap eccentricity is set by moving a stator and a stator winding, and then a stator short circuit is set by controlling time relays. According to the above settings, different degrees of electromechanical cross and complex faults are simulated as required.
