Abstract: An operation method of a storage controller is provided, receiving a copy command, a source logic block address (LBA), and a destination LBA from a host; reading target data at a first location corresponding to the source LBA, based on logical to physical (L2P) map information, and loading the target data into a static random access memory (SRAM); and writing the target data to a data area of a new block at a second location and writing the source LBA and the destination LBA to a spare area of the new block.

Abstract: A memory package includes a first storage device including a first controller configured to receive a first command, and a second storage device including a second controller configured to receive a second command. The first controller is configured to monitor a first background event of the first storage device, and, in response detecting the first background event, generate status information indicating detection of the first background event and transmit the status information to the second controller. The second controller is configured to receive the status information from the first controller, monitor a second background event of the second storage device based on the received status information, generate a response mode indicating either a boost mode or a throttling mode based on a result of the monitoring, and transmit the response mode to the first controller.
