Abstract: A chain includes two inner link plates, cylindrical bushings, each of which has opposite ends joined to the inner link plates, pins each inserted into a bushing, solid lubricant provided between the bushings and the pins, and two outer link plates that sandwich the inner link plates from outside. The ends of the pins extend through the outer link plates. The chain further includes projections, which maintain the distances between the outer surfaces of the inner link plates and the inner surfaces of the outer link plates, and absorbent members, which are arranged between the outer surfaces of the inner link plates and the inner surfaces of the outer link plates. The absorbent members confine the solid lubricant and are capable of absorbing liquid.
