  • Publication number: 20220053124
Abstract: A system for processing information from a rotatable camera may include one or more processors and a memory one or more modules. The modules cause the processor(s) to, at a first time, obtain a first image of a first field-of-view from the rotatable camera having a first object set and generate an imaginary image that includes the first object set with the position of the first object set being based on the first image. At a second time, the modules cause the processor(s) to obtain a second image from the rotatable camera of a second field-of-view having a second object set, update the imaginary image to include the second object set with the position of the second object set being based on the second image, and update the position of the first object set in the imaginary image based on a predicted position.

  • Patent number: 11011064
Abstract: In one embodiment, example systems and methods related to vehicle platooning are provided. Vehicles are equipped with a vehicle platooning system that allows the vehicles to exchange messages related to vehicle platooning. When a following vehicle desires to follow a leading vehicle, the following vehicle sends a request to the leading vehicle, and the leading vehicle sends the following vehicle information such as its current speed. The following vehicle may then use the information, along with sensor data such as images of the rear of the leading vehicle, to follow the leading vehicle from a following distance. When the leading vehicle desires to change lanes, the leading vehicle sends a message to the following vehicle to determine if the following vehicle is able to change lanes. If the following vehicle determines that it can change lanes (i.e., the lane is clear from other vehicles or objects), the following vehicle can send a message to the leading vehicle indicating that it can change lanes.

  • Publication number: 20200286380
Abstract: System, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to controlling a parking facility. In one embodiment, a method of controlling a parking facility control system is disclosed. In one approach, the method includes receiving a parking request for a vehicle. The parking request includes an identifier and a pickup time. The method includes selecting an initial parking space at the parking facility for the vehicle based, at least in part, on the identifier and the pickup time. The method includes transmitting a parking command to the vehicle. The parking command identifies the initial parking space and causes the vehicle to autonomously navigate to and park in the initial parking space.

  • Publication number: 20200286304
Abstract: System, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to controlling a parking facility. In one embodiment, a method of controlling a parking facility control system is disclosed. The method includes selecting a pricing model, from a set of models based, at least partially, on historical data that indicates past parking rates and past usage levels of the parking facility. The method includes determining, periodically, a dynamic parking rate according to the pricing model. The method includes, in response to receiving a parking request for a vehicle, determining a current parking rate for the vehicle according to at least the dynamic parking rate and attributes of the parking request that indicate at least a parking duration that the vehicle is estimated to be parked at the parking facility. The method includes transmitting a parking notification to the vehicle, the parking notification indicating a parking space and the current parking rate.
