The portable terminal simultaneously displays a first image representative of a piece of data stored by the second server for the user and a second image representative of the specialized content generated by the third server based on data stored by the second server for the user.

The method includes the steps of generating a product registration file associated with a customer ID, comparing non-acceptable ingredient IDs included in a customer record with ingredient IDs included in an ingredient record associated with a product ID, and responsive to a command to complete the product registration, transmitting data in a registered product list, and not data in a registration pending list, to a point-of-sale (POS) terminal. The registered product list includes product IDs of products having no ingredients identified by any of the non-acceptable ingredient IDs, and the registration pending list includes product IDs of products having at least one ingredient identified by one or more of the non-acceptable ingredient IDs.

    Abstract: A beacon system improves relevance of content delivered to a display device. The beacon system includes transmitters at different locations, first and second servers, and a portable terminal. The portable terminal receives a unique beacon ID signal from one of the transmitters at a first location, generates a first request signal from the unique beacon ID signal, and transmits the first request signal to the first server. The first server generates a first response signal in response to the first request signal. The portable terminal receives the first response signal, generates a second request signal from the first response signal, and transmits the second request signal to the second server. The second server generates a second response signal in response to the second request signal. The portable terminal receives the second response signal and displays content that is relevant to the first location on a display unit thereof.
