Abstract: A distributed information processing system includes point-of-sale (POS) terminals configured to collect data, a first server communicating with the POS terminals over a private network to aggregate data collected by the POS terminals, a second server communicating with the first server over a public network to centrally store the aggregated data from the first server and other servers that aggregate data collected by POS terminals, a third server communicating with the second server over the public network to generate specialized content based on data stored by the second server, and a portable terminal of a user registered with the second server. The portable terminal simultaneously displays a first image representative of a piece of data stored by the second server for the user and a second image representative of the specialized content generated by the third server based on data stored by the second server for the user.

Abstract: A non-transitory computer readable medium includes a program that is executable in a product registration server to cause the product registration server to perform a method of carrying out product registration. The method includes the steps of generating a transaction file associated with a customer ID and retrieving a customer record associated with the customer ID, the customer record including a reference ratio therein, registering products in the transaction file in response to user selections, and generating image data of a graphical user interface (GUI) indicating nutrition balance of registered products, and transmitting the generated image data to the user computing device.

Abstract: A non-transitory computer readable medium includes a program that is executable in a product registration server to cause the product registration server to perform a method of carrying out product registration. The method includes the steps of generating a product registration file associated with a customer ID, comparing non-acceptable ingredient IDs included in a customer record with ingredient IDs included in an ingredient record associated with a product ID, and responsive to a command to complete the product registration, transmitting data in a registered product list, and not data in a registration pending list, to a point-of-sale (POS) terminal. The registered product list includes product IDs of products having no ingredients identified by any of the non-acceptable ingredient IDs, and the registration pending list includes product IDs of products having at least one ingredient identified by one or more of the non-acceptable ingredient IDs.

Abstract: A beacon system improves relevance of content delivered to a display device. The beacon system includes transmitters at different locations, first and second servers, and a portable terminal. The portable terminal receives a unique beacon ID signal from one of the transmitters at a first location, generates a first request signal from the unique beacon ID signal, and transmits the first request signal to the first server. The first server generates a first response signal in response to the first request signal. The portable terminal receives the first response signal, generates a second request signal from the first response signal, and transmits the second request signal to the second server. The second server generates a second response signal in response to the second request signal. The portable terminal receives the second response signal and displays content that is relevant to the first location on a display unit thereof.

Abstract: A process is executed in which a weight value transmitted from a scale device having a placing part for placing an article, is stored in a memory as a former weight under predetermined condition, when an article code is input through a user interface, a price and a weight range corresponding to the input article code is searched from an article data file, a weight check is executed in which whether or not a weight difference between a weight value acquired by placing the article code input article on the placing part and the former weight stored in the memory falls within the searched weight range, and an article information registration process is executed only when the weight check is gone through.
