    Abstract: A method of managing intercell interference in a network and an apparatus for performing the method are disclosed. The method of managing intercell interference by a base station included in the network includes selecting a beam pattern from among a plurality of beam patterns for transmitting and receiving data between the base station and users included in the network, activating a beam corresponding to the selected beam pattern, performing a user’s scheduling on users included in the activated beam, and allocating transmission power to the activated beam to transmit and receive data to and from the users selected by the user’s scheduling.
