    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for optical visualization of graphene domains, and more particularly to a method for optical visualization of graphene domains, which can optically visualize the domains and domain boundaries of graphene by forming on a substrate a graphene layer to be measured, forming a liquid crystal layer on the formed graphene layer, and then measuring the optical properties of the formed nematic liquid crystal layer. The method for optical visualization of graphene domains according to the invention uses a liquid crystal-coating method, which is simpler and easier than a conventional method for observing graphene domains. Thus, the method of the invention is simple, time-saving and inexpensive and, at the same time, enables very-large-area graphene domains to be observed with a polarizing microscope or the like. Therefore, the inventive method will be very useful in the research of graphene's properties.

    Abstract: Provided is a cooling ring for welding used to manufacture a bellows including a plurality of pairs of barriers, each pair formed of a first barrier and a second barrier disposed to face the first barrier. The cooling ring includes a body formed as a circular arc shape, disposed to attach the first barrier and the second barrier closely to each other while being in contact with at least one of the first barrier and the second barrier, the body including copper and a plating layer plating the body. The plating layer includes at least one selected from the group consisting of nickel and chrome. Since the cooling ring includes the body having the circular arc shape including copper and the plating layer plating the body, it is possible to prevent powder of a metal having high electrical conductivity, such as copper, aluminum, gold, and silver, during a welding process.

Accordingly, a foaming preparation operation can be rapidly and easily performed, and the foam insulation material can be prevented from leaking into the interior of the refrigerator.

    Abstract: Vapor Axial Deposition (VAD) apparatus and method is provided. The VAD apparatus includes a first torch, a second torch, a thermometer, a controller, and a moving device. The first torch grows a core by depositing a soot at an end of a soot preform arranged on an axis. The second torch grows a clad by depositing a soot on the face of the core. The thermometer detects the temperature of the end of the soot preform along the axis and the temperature of an other/lower portion of the core. The controller calculates a difference between a temperature (T1) of the end of the soot preform and a temperature (T4) of a lower portion of the core and controls the movement of the soot preform according to the difference. The moving device moves the soot preform along the axis according to the instruction of the controller.

The method comprising the steps of (a) fabricating a soot preform while maintaining an average temperature of a core surface at a level equal to or less than 1000° C. and temperature variation of the core surface according to a growing length of the soot preform in a range of ?10 to 10° C./cm, fabricating an optical fiber preform by dehydrating, consolidating and vitrifying the soot preform and (c) drawing the optical fiber from the optical fiber preform under a temperature range between 1900 to 2300° C.

Further, the cable 60 wrapped with the conductive shielding net 70 is installed within a waveguide 50. In the preform manufacturing apparatus, a cylindrical deposition tube receives a source gas through one end and discharges the source gas through the other end. A first heat source is mounted to a guide and forms a first high temperature area inside the deposition tube by heating the outer circumferential surface of the deposition tube. A second heat source is mounted to the guide, apart from the first heat source by a predetermined distance along the length direction of the deposition tube, and forms a second high temperature area inside the deposition tube by heating the outer circumferential surface of the deposition tube. A beat source mover moves the first and second heat sources, maintaining the distance between the first and second heat sources.
