  • Patent number: 9293749
Abstract: Provided is an ultrafine fibrous porous separator with heat resistance and high-strength and a manufacturing method thereof, which enables mass-production of a heat-resistant and high-strength ultrafine fibrous separator by using an air-electrospinning (AES) method, and to a secondary battery using the same. The method of manufacturing a heat-resistant and high-strength ultrafine fibrous porous separator includes the steps of: air-electrospinning a mixed solution of 50 to 70 wt % of a heat-resistant, polymer material and 30 to 50 wt % of a swelling polymer material, to thereby form a porous web of a heat-resistant ultrafine fiber in which the heat-resistant polymer material and the swelling polymer material are consolidated in an ultrafine fibrous form; performing drying to control a solvent and moisture that remain on the surface of the porous web; and performing thermal compression on the dried porous web at a temperature of between 170° C. and 210° C. so as to obtain the separator.

  • Patent number: 8512612
Abstract: The present invention relates to a membrane for Western blotting which has a three-dimensional open pore structure, an average pore diameter of 0.1-1.0 ?m and a thickness of 30-200 ?m, wherein the membrane for Western blotting is manufactured by subjecting nanofibers having an average fiber diameter of 50-1000 nm, obtained by electrospinning, to a hot-plate calendering process, and a method for manufacturing the same. The method comprises the steps of: dissolving a hydrophobic material in a solvent to prepare a spinning solution; subjecting the spinning solution to a spinning process to obtain a hydrophobic polymer nanofiber web; and calendering the obtained nanofiber web to obtain a membrane for Western blotting.

  • Patent number: 7799352
Abstract: Disclosed are therapeutic hydrogels for atopic dermatitis and a method for preparing the same. The hydrogels comprises a biocompatible polymer, a polyalcohol, and a medicinal plant extract. The hydrogels can carry medicinally effective ingredients for a sustained period of time and absorb wound exudates properly. The hydrogels have suitable gel strength and, when applied to a wound, can prevent bacterial infection of the wound. Moreover, the methods employing radiation allow the polymer chains to be crosslinked to each other, and also bring about a sterilization effect in the final hydrogel. There are no problems of toxic residues in the hydrogels. They are easy to attach to the skin and concomitantly provide a cool feeling. Supported by the laminate of hydrophilic non-woven fabric sheet and polyethylene film, the hydrogel retain water for a prolonged period of time and thus are useful in the treatment of contact dermatitis and atopic dermatitis.
