  • Publication number: 20070133446
Abstract: The present invention relates to a transmitting apparatus of a wireless communication system, and a method thereof. The transmitting apparatus monitors receiving of response data for data that has been transmitted to a receiving end, and sets a first parameter for counting successful receipts according to receiving on the response data. The transmitting apparatus demodulates the response data and extracts the number of demodulated data that satisfies a first set value. Subsequently, it is determined whether the first parameter satisfies a second set value and the number of demodulated data satisfies a predetermined ratio of a referential amount of packets. According to the present invention, an efficient transmission mode for a channel state can be provided with reference to an extracted number of soft-decision data from response data received at a receiving end. In addition, a transmission mode can be determined by using only response data according to the present invention.

  • Publication number: 20060133616
Abstract: An encryption/decryption device and a method thereof use an RC4 algorithm to reduce a waiting time for encryption/decryption thereby avoiding data process delay. The encryption/decryption device includes a management unit, an encryption/decryption unit, and a first interface. The management unit includes a WEP seed key generator for generating a WEP seed key based on a transmitter address of first data and a cipher suite value representing a cipher protocol type for the transmitter address, an RC4 key scheduler for generating S-Box data using the WEP seed key, and an S-Box data memory storing the S-Box data generated from the RC4 key scheduler for the transmitter addresses. The encryption/decryption unit has a core for performing the RC4 algorithm-corresponding to the cipher suite, encrypting/decrypting the first data using the S-Box data transmitted from the management unit, and transmitting a signal for generating the S-Box data of second data to the management unit.

  • Publication number: 20060029028
Abstract: The present invention relates to a wireless local area network (WLAN). In the present invention, an access point transmits and receives a probe frame including identity numbers of each access point with a near access point, determines a master access point, and establishes a connection with a near access point through a first radio channel. The master access point transmits a beacon frame, including time information, to a station through a second radio channel, and establishes a connection with the station. The master access point relays a wired internet service received from internet network to the station. Thereafter the master access point switches the connection to the first radio channel and transmits a data frame to the near access point connected with a target station.

  • Publication number: 20030117992
Abstract: A packet transmission apparatus and method is disclosed. The present invention transmits data packets without relaying a duplicate acknowledgement packet by equipping an indirect acknowledgement timer at a buffer, generating/transmitting the indirect acknowledgement packet of the first arrived acknowledgment packet base on the indirect acknowledgement timer and implementing an indirect acknowledgement method to a snoop protocol for overcoming problems of the transmission control protocol (TCP) in the wireless network environment. The present invention effectively utilizes resources of the wireless link, which is wasted during recovering lost packet in the conventional snoop protocol. The present invention also reduces a required size of the buffer of the base station by allowing a partially-generation of the indirect acknowledgement packet.
