A winding direction of the coil winding in each of the plurality of winding areas on the magnetic core is different from winding directions of the coil windings in the adjacent winding areas on the magnetic core. The substrate further includes two terminals having two lower barbed sections consisting of buried parts buried within the upper surface and connecting parts exposed from the upper surface and two upper curved sections exposed to an exterior of the substrate. The coil has two ends connected electrically and respectively to the upper curved sections of the terminals. On the other hand, the unenclosed portion of the core body is wound with a string of conductor to form several coils, then both terminals of the coil are soldered to emerge conductor plate terminals thereby forming a wound type inductor element for SMD. The fabrication method is not only able to simplify complicated steps involved in the conventional technique, but also causes it possible for mass production. The assembled structure can be laid horizontally to save space when being equipped with associated components in an electronic device. The invention also discloses the step of fabrication method.

    Abstract: An improved structure of a multi-slotted iron rod includes a core, a coil, and a lead frame. The core is a rod is made from good magnetic iron powder. The core has a fixture area and a winding area. The winding area has several winding sections and isolation sections. The winding area is used for coil winding. The isolation sections serve as capacitors. The fixture area has a hexagonal cross section and is used as a fixing end during winding. The coil winds on the winding sections of the core. The lead frame is attached to the two sides of the isolation sections of the core for connection to an electrical circuit. The device utilizes the above components to wind the coil on the winding sections of the core. The output pin of the coil is soldered to the lead frame of the isolation sections. The lead frame is soldered on the PC board. The capacitor of the isolation section of the core is connected in parallel to the coil in the winding section.
