  • Patent number: 7598335
Abstract: The present invention provides the synthetic method and superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles capable of targeting to the folic acid receptors existing on the cell membranes and with high relaxivity. The iron oxide nanoparticles of the present invention can further be used as the contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 29, 2007
Date of Patent: October 6, 2009
    Assignee: Kaohsiung Medical University
    Inventors: Yun-Ming Wang, Kuei-Tang Lin, Ting-Jung Chen, Gin-Chung Liu
  • Patent number: 7371728
Abstract: This invention provides a novel probe, which contains a prostate peptide substrate. The probe can be used as a prostate diagnostic agent for optical imaging. An 11 amino acid peptide substrate is synthesized for specific prostate-specific antigen (PSA). This protected graft copolymer (PGC) consists of a poly-L-lysine (PL) backbone and methoxypoly(ethylene glycol) (MPEG). Two terminals of peptide substrate are bound to poly-L-lysine and Cy5.5 fluorochrome. This probe will be used as a NIR (near-infrared fluorescence) probe for optical imaging.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 4, 2006
Date of Patent: May 13, 2008
    Assignee: Kaohsiung Medical University
    Inventors: Yun-Ming Wang, Wei-Hsan Chao, Gin-Chung Liu, Jui-Sheng Hsu
