Abstract: An optical diffuser includes optically anisotropic molecules arranged in a predefined configuration such that the optical diffuser diffuses first light having a first polarization and transmits second light having a second polarization that is different from the first polarization upon receiving the second light. In addition to polarization selectivity, the optical diffuser may also exhibit wavelength selectivity and/or incident angle selectivity. A method of diffusing light using the optical diffuser and a method of making the optical diffuser are also disclosed.

Embodiments include receiving workload data of a plurality of experts. Embodiments include determining a workload capacity of each respective expert based on the respective workload data for the respective expert. Embodiments include determining a respective estimated completion time for the support engagement for each of the plurality of experts using a machine learning model. Embodiments include determining match scores for the support engagement and each of the plurality of experts based on the estimated completion times and the workload capacities. Embodiments include selecting a given expert of the plurality of experts to handle the support engagement based on the match scores.

In the method for deploying tasks in a satellite network, a utility function is determined by constructing a task processing delay model and a traffic model; a fitness degree of each individual is determined according to the utility function, and an individual with a highest fitness degree is put into a next-generation population; a probability that each of the plurality of individuals is selected is determined according to the fitness degree; a crossover operation and a mutation operation are performed on the individual according to the probability, to obtain a crossover individual and a mutation individual respectively; an available crossover individual and an available mutation individual are put into a next-generation population, to perform a repeated iteration and complete population updating; an optimal task deployment location table is output; and satellite network task deployment is completed.

Abstract: Methods and computing systems for generating a protein stability lookup table and a predictive model. These methods and systems are useful for predicting the thermal stability of a protein sequence and for predicting mutations that may enhance the thermal stability of a protein given its amino acid sequence and/or three dimensional structure. The protein stability lookup table and a predictive model are based on a combination and analysis of related protein sequences and, where available, protein structure data, and relative stability data from mesophilic and thermophilic organisms and experimentally determined stability changes of wild type proteins and their mutants.
