  • Patent number: 12061248
Abstract: An apparatus for fabricating non-planar coils includes a rotating table driven by a first motor; a wire approach height adjustment arm driven by a second motor; and a synchronization module configured such that a wire traversing from the height adjustment arm to a bobbin on the rotating table passes into a non-planar groove cut in the bobbin without damaging the wire. Performing magnetic resonance (MR) measurements includes a plurality of coil units configured for generating a gradient or shim magnetic field. The coil unit includes a plurality of coil windings, and each coil winding is separated longitudinally from an adjacent coil winding. A single pair of electrically conducting leads is configured to cause current to flow through all of the plurality of coil windings in the coil unit. Techniques include methods to fabricate and operate the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 9829376
Abstract: A sky luminance mapping system includes a camera unit, two pyranometer units and a processing unit. Camera unit includes a fisheye lens to shoot image of sky dome and is equipped with light-shading devices which block the sun from the camera unit corresponding to instant location of the sun at instant time. First pyranometer unit measures daylight illuminance from the sky dome and outputs first intensity signal while the light-shading device is applied to block the sun. Second pyranometer unit measures daylight illuminance from the sky dome and outputs second intensity signal without blocking the sun. A reference intensity value is obtained by subtracting a value of the first intensity signal from a value of the second intensity signal. According to the value of the first intensity signal and the reference intensity value, a total luminance of and the luminance distribution in the image of the sky dome are corrected.

  • Patent number: 4956580
Abstract: An automatic car lamps lighting controller to provide warning light in the daytime as well as in the night. The system includes an induction coil for detecting the start up of the car engine, an amplifier circuit, a comparator, control relays, and a night control circuit. As soon as the car is started, the front and the rear location lamp of the car being automatically turned on; the car front lamps and dash lamps automatically turned on in the night. The system enables the instant vehicle (car) to be readily seen by the drivers of other vehicles even though the driver of the instant vehicle neglects or refuses to manually turn on the road illumination lamps or vehicle location (parking) lamps.
