Abstract: A data communication method using forward error correction (FEC) includes: receiving at least one of symbols that constitute one encoding block unit; extracting information related to parameters that adjust an FEC encoding rate from the at least one symbol; determining whether an error may be corrected based on the extracted information related to the parameters and a number of symbols with errors from among the symbols that constitute the encoding block unit; and transmitting feedback information related to the symbols prior to the symbols that constitute the encoding block unit being completely received based on the determination of whether an error may be corrected.

Abstract: A method of improving quality of experience (QoE) in a first device which shares a screen of the first device with a second device includes: detecting a class of a content currently displayed on the screen; determining a QoE policy based on the detected class of the content; encoding a screen image of the screen based on the determined QoE policy; and transmitting the encoded screen image to the second device. As such, when a screen is shared among a plurality of devices, optimal QoE may be achieved with respect to each class of a content.

Abstract: A method for performing video communication is provided. The method includes: creating and saving a bio key using a user's biological information before first and second terminals perform the video communication; establishing a session, wherein the first terminal requests voice communication with the second terminal; exchanging bio keys saved in the respective terminals and saving the same; starting a Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol (SRTP) session, wherein the first and second terminals create a session sharing key using the exchanged bio keys; creating a restored bio key by obtaining the biological information from data received by first and second terminals and performing a user certification by comparing the bio key with the restored bio key.

Abstract: A camera video processing/producing method and apparatus is provided. In the camera video processing method, an aspect ratio of a captured image is determined, and a horizontal/vertical image is rotated according to the display orientation of a preview screen of a camera according to the determination result. The rotation information of the horizontal/vertical image is set in a codec parameter, and the codec parameter and the image are encoded.
