Abstract: An enlarged digital image providing method and apparatus using data communication networks for effectively transmitting and displaying enlarged digital images via Internet, Intranet and mobile communication networks, wherein the method comprises the steps of: creating an original digital image document; serially creating at least one reduced image document having a resolution lower than the original digital image document based on the original digital image document; divisibly storing the reduced image documents and the original digital image document into a multiplicity of segmental image documents; receiving a request when a client designates a specific domain of a display image for enlarged display of the domain; and transmitting from server side to client side at least one segmental image document necessary for constructing an image of requested enlarged domain to prompt the transmitted segmental image document to be combined for implementation of displayed image.

Abstract: An angular-multiplexed storage system incorporates therein a cylindrical storage medium for storing multiple holograms. The angular-multiplexed storage system comprises a light source for generating a coherent light beam, a beam splitter for splitting the coherent light beam into a reference and a signal beams, a storage medium for three-dimensionally storing the multiple holograms thereinto, the storage medium being in the form of a cylinder, a pair of mirrors for directing the signal and the reference beams to the storage medium, respectively, and a stepping motor for rotating the storage medium about an axis perpendicular to a plane which includes the signal and reference beams, wherein the axis passes through a center point of the storage medium.

Abstract: A method for calculating an amount and determining a position of an eccentric mass existing in a rotary head apparatus of a fixed shaft type, and to an apparatus for calculating and determining the same is disclosed. The method for calculating an amount and determining a position of the eccentric mass of the rotary head apparatus of the fixed shaft type and the apparatus for calculating and determining the same, are very accurate and credible. Accordingly, the rotational vibration of the head apparatus can be largely reduced through a balancing utilizing the eccentric mass calculated by and determined by the above-mentioned method and apparatus.
