  • Patent number: 7736275
Abstract: A wrist exercise includes a casing composed of upper and lower casing members mating each other to form a hollow sphere, a retention ring fixed between the upper and lower casing members, a rotor rotatably supported inside the casing by the retention ring. Cavities are formed in opposite sides of the rotor and are each divided into chambers by partitions fixed in the cavities. Holes are defined in an outside surface of the rotor and are in communication with the chambers, whereby, in operation of the wrist exerciser, the rotor is rotated and high-speed airflows are caused between the holes and the chambers due to centrifugal forces induced by the rotation of the rotor, which airflows generate sounds, thereby effecting sound generation of the wrist exerciser.

  • Patent number: 7452307
Abstract: A balance-enhancing and vibration-reducing device is incorporated in a wrist exerciser to enhance force balance and reduce vibration caused in the operation of the wrist exerciser. The device includes a ring mounted in a casing of the wrist exerciser and defining diametrically opposite holes that rotatably receive axles of a rotor of the wrist exerciser. A coupler is mounted to an inner circumference of the ring in position corresponding to at least one of the holes. The coupler includes a tube extending in a radial direction of the ring. The tube forms a central bore to rotatably receive the corresponding axle. A plurality of resilient pawls is formed at a free end of the tube and distributed along a circumference of the free end. A balance-enhancing and vibration-reducing element has a central bore fit over the tube of the coupler by elastically deforming the pawls.

  • Patent number: 7436608
Abstract: A focusing module includes a casing, at least one fixed magnetic element, a membrane, a movable magnetic element, and a lens. The fixed magnetic element is fixed in the casing for generating a first magnetic field. The membrane is received and retained in an upper section of the casing. The membrane defines a central hole. The movable magnetic element is attached to the membrane, surrounding the central hole of the membrane. The movable magnetic element receives a control signal and in response thereto generates a second magnetic field, which interacts with the first magnetic field of the fixed magnetic field to induce a force acting on the membrane to cause elastic deformation of the membrane. The lens is fixed to the central hole of the membrane whereby the lens is movable with respect to the casing due to the elastic deformation of the membrane caused by magnetic interaction between the first and second magnetic fields of the fixed and movable magnetic elements so as to effect focusing operation.

  • Patent number: 7381155
Abstract: A wrist exerciser includes an upper casing member and a lower casing member that are mounted to each other to enclose a rotor therebetween. The upper casing member has a top opening, which exposes a portion of the rotor. The rotor has opposite sides on which two opposite axles are mounted respectively. The axles are rotatably coupled to an outer ring. The outer ring comprises a resiliency device. The side of the rotor that faces the resiliency device is provided with a movable catching mechanism that is releasably, selectively, and operatively coupled to the resiliency device. Thus, when the rotor is initially rotated or is towed to take a linear movement by being put in contact with a fixture surface, the resiliency device builds up compression spring force, which, when the rotor is released, causes the rotor to rotate in a reversed direction and gaining auxiliary starting power and initial rotation speed.

  • Patent number: 7318790
Abstract: A revolution counter for wrist exerciser includes a generator module, at least a detection element pair, a wireless transmission module, and wireless receiver. The generator module, the detection elements, and the wireless transmission module are arranged between a rotor and a stationary casing of the wrist exerciser. The rotation of the rotor with respect to the casing induces a voltage in the generator module, which is supplied to the detection elements and the wireless transmission module. The detection elements detect the rotation of the rotor and generate a signal associated with data of the rotation to the wireless transmission module. The wireless transmission module converts the signal into corresponding data and transmits the data in a wireless manner. The wireless receiver receives the data and displays the data in a display device or transmits the data to an external electronic device.
