Abstract: A method for manufacturing high-purity alumina material is disclosed, which includes the steps of: reacting aluminum metal with a mixture of organic base and water to form aluminum hydroxide suspension; removing water by filtration to form aluminum hydroxide slurry, and drying/baking the slurry to form aluminum oxide powders. The method is amenable to mass production of high-purity aluminum oxide containing total silica and non-aluminum metal impurities less than 0.005% and having a bulk density higher than 3.0 g/cc. In addition, the invention also provides high-purity aluminum oxide prepared by using the method disclosed and bulk products prepared therefrom.

Abstract: The present application discloses recombinant bacteria producing L-amino acid(s) its construction method and the method of producing L-amino acid(s). The recombinant bacteria producing L-amino acid(s) according to the present invention has reduced expression of the glucose-6-phosphate isomerase Pgi and improved expression of the glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase Zwf-OpcA than the starting bacteria, wherein: said starting bacterium is a bacterial strain which can accumulate target amino acid(s). During fermenting and culturing the recombinant bacteria according to the present invention, it is observed that the effect of improving yield can be additive and the yield of L-amino acid(s) is improved obviously. The strategy of combinational modification according to the present invention develops a new method of improving the yield of L-amino acid(s) and hence it can be applied to produce L-amino acid(s) through bacterialfermentation.

Abstract: A multifunctional all-terrain walking-type hydraulic excavator includes a multifunctional working apparatus (2), a cab (3), a slew assembly (4), a slewing bearing (6), and a walking-type chassis (5). By means of a hydraulic capstan (5.9) arranged at the forward end of the chassis (5), the excavator is able to perform self-rescue and towing assistance. The walking-type chassis (5) adapts to terrain through adjustments of the swing angles of the forward and rear legs (5.2, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6) and thus is able to walk and operate in difficult terrain.

The system comprises a database for storing data related to each of the plurality of products with each product associated with a previous online advertising campaign and a processor in communication with the database and configured to execute computer-readable instructions causing the processor to utilize the data to identify at least one previous online advertising campaign as being similar to the present online advertising campaign, learn from the identified previous online advertising campaign(s) to predict a probability of conversion of each of a plurality of customers when exposed to an impression of the present online advertising campaign, and build the targeted audience for the present online advertising campaign based on the predicted probability of conversion. A method for building a targeted audience for a present online advertising campaign is also disclosed.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to a method and apparatus for improving quality of service setting. According to an embodiment of the disclosure, the method comprises: obtaining an abstract QoS from a converged QoS profile, wherein the converged QoS profile indicates a mapping relationship between a converged QoS and the abstract QoS; mapping the abstract QoS to a vendor specific QoS; and implementing QoS setting on the obtained component related to the given application, based on the mapped vendor specific QoS. By introducing a centralized and converged QoS controller, the method simplifies QoS setting and improves the efficiency of QoS setting along the virtual application stack.

The method comprises: performing unified control of all resources in all layers of the data center; performing unified storage of all topologies and machine-generated data of all layers of the data center; and orchestrating the resources of the data center based on the unified control and the unified storage. Embodiments of the present invention provide a higher level orchestration than methods in the prior art, and employ some functions provided by methods in the prior art to provide a unified manner when the demand changes for orchestrating a layered cloud data center, in order to immediately provide a suitable capability.

Abstract: The disclosed subject matter relates to providing a view synthesis distortion model (VSDM) for multiview video coding (MVC). The disclosed VSDM can facilitate determining quantization values and rate values based on model parameters for encoding depth information. Further, the VSDM can facilitate compression of depth information based on the determined quantization values and rate values. Compression of depth information can provide for reduces bandwidth consumption for dissemination of encoded multiview content for applications such as 3D video, freepoint TV, etc. Further, a feedback element can be employed to update the VSDM based on a comparison of a reconstituted version of the content, from coded depth information, against reference version of the content, from reference depth information.
