    Abstract: An electrode assembly and a method of manufacturing an electrode assembly are disclosed. The electrode assembly includes first unit cells having two negative electrodes, two separators, and a positive electrode in a stacked configuration, second unit cells having two positive electrodes, two separators, and a negative electrode in a stacked configuration, and a separator pouch made of the same material as the separators and bonded to and surrounding respective ones of the first unit cells or the second unit cells so that portions of each separator pouch comprise an uppermost layer and a lowermost layer of the respective surrounded unit cell, wherein a surplus portion of each separator pouch protrudes beyond peripheral ends of the first and second unit cells. The first unit cells and the second unit cells are alternately stacked, and the surplus portions of the separator pouches are bonded to each other.
