    Abstract: An automated test system includes a plurality of modules and a plurality of basic functions executed by them. An initial setting basic function obtains a test setup file corresponding to a device under test from a test station, and reads a device basic information from the test setup file. A pre-test basic function resets the test setup file from the previous testing. A test initializing basic function confirms whether the device under test is applied to a test item of the test station according to the device basic information, and initializes a test data corresponding to the device under test according to the test item. The test station tests the device under test based on the test data to generate a test result. A post-test basic function uploads the test result to a central server, and confirms whether to receive an upload status from the central server.

The server is placed in a rack enclosure and includes a rack, an information gathering unit, a rack connecting unit, and the touch display module. The rack includes a receiving slot in front side of the rack. The information gathering unit is coupled with a plurality of system components of the server and used for gathering operation information of the system components. The operation information is transmitted to the touch display module through the rack connecting unit. The touch display module slidably received in the receiving slot can be drawn out for displaying operation information. The operation information includes identification data and state data of the system components. When error information associated with the system component is identified in the received operation information, the touch display module drawn out displays an alert message related to the failed system component.

    Abstract: A method of compressing letters adapted to store a letter in a specific bit and a memory unit includes compiling a set of 26 letters of the English alphabet and dividing it into two halves, which are respectively encoded as headers or tailers. Headers are stored in the specific bit, while tailers are stored in the memory unit, so as to reduce memory spaces. By using the method in combination with a speciaily designed data structure, 16 letters may be stored in 10 bits.
