  • Patent number: 11916075
Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) structure includes a substrate having several regions, several semiconductor devices formed at the substrate and respectively within the regions, and an ultra-deep (UD) trench isolation structure formed in the substrate. The substrate has a top surface and a bottom surface oppositely, and the UD trench isolation structure formed in the substrate surrounds peripheries of each of the regions for structurally and physically isolating the semiconductor devices within different regions. The UD trench isolation structure penetrates the substrate by extending from the top surface of the substrate to the bottom surface of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 11536811
Abstract: A distance measuring device includes a pulsed laser source, a light receiving unit and a computing module. The pulsed laser source emits a laser pulse to a target in accordance with a predetermined period. The light receiving unit has a photon receiving type of light receiving element that receives incident light and outputs a binary pulse, and the binary pulse is used to indicate whether a photon receiving event occurs. The computing module is configured to receive the binary pulse and determine whether an inter-period coincidence event occurs, and the inter-period coincidence event is defined by detecting a plurality of photon receiving events exceeding a predetermined count, on relative positions in a predetermined period number of the predetermined periods. If the calculation module determines that the inter-period coincidence event occurs, a distance of the target is calculated according to time information related to the inter-period coincidence event.

  • Publication number: 20220163643
Abstract: A LiDAR and a method of a fast photon-count integration for a LiDAR are disclosed. The proposed method, wherein the LiDAR includes a laser, includes: providing a target and the LiDAR; causing the laser to fire a laser pulse towards the target according to a random mechanism; and causing an interval between two adjacent laser pulses to be less than a time that the laser spent for a round trip of maximum unambiguous range to speed up a detection and a ranging of the target.
