    Abstract: A wearable device and a method for performing a registration process in the wearable device are provided. The wearable device includes a light source, a light sensor and a microcontroller that performs the method. In the method, the light source is activated to emit a detection light and the light sensor senses a reflected light. A light intensity of the reflected light is calculated. Specifically, an upper limit and a lower limit are referred to for detecting whether the wearable device is properly worn by a person. For example, since the wearable device can be worn on the person's wrist, the registration value is used to detect whether the wearable device is away from the wrist.

    Abstract: A method for compensating driving parameters for a display and a circuit system for the same are provided. The method is performed in a backlight control circuit of a backlight module and a display driving circuit of a display panel of a display. A compensation parameter table is introduced. The compensation parameter table records compensation parameters applied to the backlight module and the display panel under different brightness and chrominance. When the backlight module and the display panel are in operation, the compensation parameters can be obtained by querying the compensation parameter table according to voltage and current values applied to the circuit system of the display. The backlight control circuit then outputs driving signals to each LED driving circuit according to the compensation parameters for each region. The display driving circuit outputs driving signals to display elements of the display panel according to the compensation parameters.

The computer obtains at least a gray level response time (GLRT) normalized curve according to results of measuring the variations of the brightness. The computer integrates the at least a GLRT normalized curve to obtain at least an MPRT normalized curve, obtains at least a time interval of the at least an MPRT normalized curve, and calculates an average of the at least a time interval to obtain the MPRT of the LCD.

    Abstract: A method for removing foreign substances from a camera system is provided. The camera system includes a camera device with a transparent cover having a piezoelectric component. First, a type of the foreign substances is identified based on temperature, an image captured by the camera system, and a voltage change of the piezoelectric component. A sequence of frequencies is applied to the piezoelectric component and a resonant frequency is acquired. Thereafter, the foreign substances are removed from the camera system. A vibration frequency and a vibration time period for the piezoelectric component are determined according to the identified type of the foreign substances. The vibration frequency is based on the resonant frequency. The piezoelectric component is driven with the vibration frequency and the vibration time period, such that at least a portion of the foreign substances are removed from the transparent cover through vibration of the piezoelectric component.
