  • Publication number: 20240072669
Abstract: A power converter includes a high side switch, a low side switch, a low side driver, a loading detector, a configurable regulator and a high side driver. The low side driver generates a low side drive signal to control the low side switch. The configurable regulator generates a regulation voltage, a magnitude of which is greater when the loading detector detects that the power converter has light loading than when the loading detector detects that the power converter has heavy loading. The high side driver generates a high side drive signal that switches between the input voltage and the regulation voltage to control the high side switch.

  • Patent number: 8786271
Abstract: A circuit for generating reference voltage and reference current includes a band-gap reference circuit and a voltage-to-current converting circuit. The band-gap reference circuit is configured to generate a temperature-independent reference voltage by generating a first current with a positive temperature coefficient. The voltage-to-current converting circuit is coupled to a node of the band-gap reference circuit and configured to convert a voltage with a negative temperature coefficient at the node into a second current with a negative temperature coefficient. The band-gap reference circuit and the voltage-to-current converting circuit share a common current source having a feedback transistor through which a reference current flows. The reference current is divided into the first current of the band-gap reference circuit and the second current of the voltage-to-current converting circuit, thus having a temperature coefficient substantially equal to zero by combining the first current and the second current.

  • Publication number: 20130265083
Abstract: A voltage and current reference generator includes: a temperature-insensitive voltage source for providing a first current with a positive temperature coefficient and a reference voltage with a substantially zero temperature coefficient according to a junction voltage difference with a negative temperature coefficient; a mirror unit for mirroring the first current to obtain a second current with the positive temperature coefficient and for generating a junction voltage with the negative temperature coefficient according to the second current; a voltage-to-current conversion unit for converting the junction voltage into a third current with the negative temperature coefficient; and a current integration unit for obtaining a fourth current and a fifth current, and integrating the fourth current and the fifth current into a reference current having a substantially zero temperature coefficient.
