  • Publication number: 20100110061
Abstract: A local area image displaying system is provided for a screen of a display device for controlling a displaying area of the display device. The system includes a pixel matrix, a data driving circuit, a gate driving circuit, a timing controller, and a microprocessor unit. The pixel matrix includes plural pixel units that are arranged in a matrix form to define a global displaying area. The timing controller controls the operation timings of the data driving circuit and the gate driving circuit to selectively and respectively supply a data voltage and a gate voltage to at least one selected pixel unit. The timing controller bases on a local displaying area in which displaying is to be performed to control the data lines and the gate lines covering the local displaying area to supply the voltages so as to enable only the pixel units contained in the local displaying area.

  • Publication number: 20100109997
Abstract: Disclosed is a display device with a backlight local area illumination control circuit, which employs a backlight local area illumination control circuit to control an illumination zone of the backlight module of the display device. The backlight local area illumination control circuit includes a plurality of illuminants, an illuminant controller, and an illuminant driving circuit. Based on a backlight illumination zone selection signal received, the illuminant controller selectively drives the illuminants of the backlight module so as to form a local illumination zone in the backlight module corresponding to a local displaying area in which a target image is to be displayed on the global displaying area to have the target image displayed in the local displaying area of the display device.

  • Patent number: 7433182
Abstract: A plug-and-expand battery module includes at least one battery cell therein, which is provided with a plug member adapted to insert into a power input of a portable electronic apparatus, and a socket member adapted to receive the plug member of another battery module. The battery module is internally provided with a battery connecting circuit for connecting the battery cells to one another, and to the plug and socket members. Thus, when the plug member of the battery module is inserted into the power input of the portable electronic apparatus, power is supplied from all the battery modules connected via the plug and the socket members thereof. The battery module is also internally provided with a battery protection to prevent discharge of a battery module having a higher voltage to another battery module having a lower voltage when several battery modules are parallelly connected to supply power.
