    Abstract: A motherboard includes a circuit board and a connector mounted on the circuit board. The connector comprises a socket and a latch pivotally mounted on one end of the socket. The latch comprises a body, a pressing member connected to one side of the body and extending outward from one side of the body to the outside of the socket, exposing an area from a side of the interface card for finger pressing. The supporting member is connected to another side of the body, and when the pressing member is pressed, it drives the body to pivot and causes the pushing portion to lift the interface card, and the supporting member stop the body from pivoting by resting against the circuit board.

    Abstract: An ultrasonic system and an ultrasonic method with adaptive overflow and gain control are provided. The present disclosure uses two-stage gain controls to improve the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and to achieve the correct analysis of results. The first stage adopts an analog gain, and monitors whether the signal may overflow or its signal strength is too weak, and adjusts the gain value as large as possible, without causing overflow in order to improve the SNR. The second stage adopts a digital gain. In the second stage, all the amplified gain-containing data adjusted in the first stage are received, and an amplified gain-containing data segment is sequentially retrieved in chronological order, and the amplified gain-containing data segment is converted into a same-gain data segment having the same gain. Finally, the same-gain data segment is provided to a Doppler signal analyzer for analysis.

    Abstract: A distributed application system and a method for controlling QoS in data transmission are provided. The distributed application system includes an application hosting device (AHD), a wireless sensor network (WSN) and a gateway. The AHD includes a personal health manage software module, a first application programming interface (API) module and a first communication protocol module. The gateway includes a second API module, second and third communication protocol modules. The WSN, the first and second communication protocol modules support a first communication protocol, and the third communication protocol module supports a second communication protocol. The first API module cooperates with the second API module to accomplish all of default functionalities of a personal network API. The PHD is connected to the AHD via the gateway. When the AHD or the gateway transmits a message to the WSN, the QoS control of the message is performed by setting priority and acknowledge parameters.

    Abstract: A detection device for detecting specific operation information of a subject is provided and includes an image capturing unit, an image processing unit, a signal processing unit, and a detection unit. The image capturing unit captures pictures of the subject to generate image signals respectively. Each of the image signals has gray-level values. The image processing unit sums the gray-level values of each of the image signals to obtain a brightness value of the corresponding image signal. The signal processing unit generates an action signal according to the brightness values, removes a non-periodic component of the action signal, and calculates a spectrum of the action signal whose non-periodic component is removed. The detection unit checks the spectrum according to a detection rule to obtain the specific operation information of the subject.

    Abstract: A system for detecting a remote apparatus includes a host and a remote interface device connected to the host via a network. The remote interface device includes at least one serial port configured for connecting to a serial port apparatus. The remote interface device detects the connection status of the serial port using a filter rule provided by the host. When the connection status is changed, the remote interface device sends an event notification to the host. The host adds or removes virtual port objects, which are used by application software and are configured to control the remote apparatus, according to the received event notification. Using the mechanism described above, the host can have remote plug and play feature on a remote serial port apparatus.

    Abstract: A system and a method for sharing the e-service resources of a digital home are provided. Two different Java e-service platforms are built in the same Java Virtual Machine. Furthermore, in a parent class loader having the inheritance between the two Java e-service platforms, a bridge class module is established.
