  • Patent number: 9379574
Abstract: A method for controlling an abnormal state of a wireless Power Receiving Unit (PRU) is provided. The method includes measuring a temperature by a period shorter than a previous measurement period when a temperature measured by the wireless PRU in response to a transmission of power from a wireless Power Transmitting Unit (PTU) is higher than a temperature required to be monitored; determining whether the measured temperature is higher than a temperature at which a load switch connected to a charging unit is turned off if the measured temperature is equal to or higher than the temperature required to be monitored; and turning off the load switch if the measured temperature is higher than the temperature at which the load switch is turned off.
