    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to affinity-based scheduling of graphics work. In disclosed embodiments, first and second groups of graphics processor sub-units may share respective first and second caches. Distribution circuitry may receive a software-specified set of graphics work and a software-indicated mapping of portions of the set of graphics work to groups of graphics processor sub-units. The distribution circuitry may assign subsets of the set of graphics work based on the mapping. This may improve cache efficiency, in some embodiments, by allowing graphics work that accesses the same memory areas to be assigned to the same group of sub-units that share a cache.

    Abstract: A method, system and computer readable media for real-time chromakey matting using image statistics. To identify the chroma key spectrum, the system/method executes in three stages. In an off-line training stage, the system performs semi-automatic calibration of the chroma key parameterization. In the real-time classification stage, the system estimates the alpha matte on a GPU. Finally, an optional error minimization stage improves the estimated matte, accounting for misclassifications and signal noise. Given the resulting matte, standard alpha blending composites the virtual scene with the video feed to create the illusion that both worlds coexist.

    Abstract: Optical performance monitoring of a dense wave division multiplex optical communication system is immune to effects of stimulated Raman scattering. Each wavelength is modulated by an orthogonal spreading code dither signal having a predetermined modulation index. At a receiver, a portion of the aggregate optical signal is tapped and passes through a wavelength dependant optical delay filter. For each wavelength, the aggregate signal is multiplied by a synchronized copy of a respective spreading code and an autocorrelator detects the modulation power of the spreading code dither. The system can also be deployed as an optical reflectometer. For each autocorrelator, an aggregate reflected signal is multiplied by a copy of a spreading code having a respective different time delay. The distance to a reflection can be estimated from the time delay that yields the highest autocorrelation value.
