Abstract: A method for presenting multiple images from a DMS (digital media server), in a same DMR (digital media renderer) includes: sending a first uniform resource identifier URI list setting message to the DMR, so that the DMR acquires, according to the first URI list setting message, multiple images corresponding to multiple URIs from the DMS; and sending a media playback message to the DMR, so that the DMR presents the multiple images together according to the media playback message. According to the method provided in the embodiments of the present invention, multiple images can be shared and presented at the same time between home network media devices, which makes it very convenient to compare the multiple images, thereby helping a user select a best image and make, in a scenario where it is required to perform an illustration on multiple images, a better comparison explanation and illustration on the images.

Abstract: The present invention provides a media playback method, where a control point controls a media playback device to play a first media, where the control point acquires a resolution supported by the media playback device; acquires, according to the resolution supported by the media playback device, address information of the first media to be sent to the media playback device; and sends the address information of the first media to the media playback device, so that the media playback device plays the first media according to the address information of the first media. Embodiments of the present invention are advantageous because the control point can select, according to the resolution supported by the media playback device, a media resource of a corresponding resolution, and push the media resource of the corresponding resolution to the media playback device.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method and a mobile terminal for switching a playback device. The method in the present invention includes: determining, by a mobile terminal, that the mobile terminal is moved from a first space in which the mobile terminal is located to a second space; acquiring an identifier and playback progress information of first multimedia content played by a first playback device; and sending, by the mobile terminal, to a second playback device, a playback command carrying the identifier and the playback progress information of the first multimedia content, where the playback command is used to trigger the second playback device to play the first multimedia content from a start point that is determined according to the playback progress information.

Abstract: An embodiment method includes: acquiring a uniform resource identifier URI of a first picture selected by a user; acquiring a URI of a picture to be buffered in accordance with the URI of the first picture; and sending the URI of the first picture and the URI of the picture to be buffered to a media renderer, so that the media renderer acquires the first picture according to the URI of the first picture, and displays the first picture, and acquires, the picture to be buffered in accordance with the URI of the picture to be buffered, and buffers the picture to be buffered.

Abstract: A method for playing a streaming media file, which can improve transmission and playing efficiency of a streaming media file. The method includes: playing, by a first apparatus, a streaming media file from a streaming media server; and when the first apparatus receives a handover instruction, sending, by the first apparatus, a playing command to a second apparatus, and sending at least a part of data of the downloaded streaming media file to the second apparatus, where the at least part of the data includes data not played by the first apparatus, where the playing command is used to instruct the second apparatus to play a part of or all of the at least part of the data sent by the first apparatus. The present invention further provides a corresponding apparatus.
