  • Publication number: 20180150036
Abstract: According to some embodiments, a system and method are provided to model a sparse data asset. The system comprises a processor and a non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that when executed by the processor perform a method to model a sparse data asset. Relevant data and operational data associated with the newly operational are received. A transfer model based on the relevant data and the received operational data. An input into the transfer model is received and a predication based on data associated with the received operational data and the relevant data is output.

  • Publication number: 20180136617
Abstract: A method of continuously modeling industrial asset performance includes an initial model build block creating a first model based on a combination of an industrial asset historical data, configuration data and training data, filtering at least one of the historical data, configuration data, and training data, and a continuous learning block predicting performance of one or more members of an ensemble of models by evaluating a result of the one or more ensemble members to a predetermined threshold. A model application block pushing a selected model ensemble member to a performance diagnostic center, selecting the member based on comparing model ensemble members to a fielded modeling algorithm. A system and computer-readable medium are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20170286854
Abstract: A method for automatic revision of a predictive damage model that assess a physical system and provides maintenance recommendations to a user platform includes evaluating the predictive model at periodic intervals, identifying alternate parameters for the model that satisfy real-world physical constraints, determining an impact of the alternate parameters on an accuracy of the predictive model, forecasting performance of a predictive model modified with the alternate parameters, optimizing data driven terms of the predictive model by deploying the alternate parameters, and providing updated maintenance recommendations to a user platform display based on the modified predictive model. The method can also include comparing the one or more maintenance recommendations to actual maintenance experiences on the physical system, and also performing a heuristic parameter search for the data-driven terms.

  • Patent number: 8983690
Abstract: A system and method optimizes energy consumption in a railway system including a set of trains, a set of energy storage devices, and a set of substations connected to a grid by first optimizing control parameters controlling at least part of the energy consumption of the railway system to produce optimized control parameters. The optimized control parameters minimize, over multiple time steps, a combination of total power provided by the grid to satisfy a power demand of the railway system, a state-of-charge of each energy storage device, power supplied to charge the energy storage device and power supplied by the energy storage device. The optimizing is subject to constraints on operations of the railway system over multiple time steps. The constraints include a complementarity constraint. A command is generated to control the energy consumption of the railway system based on the optimized control parameters.
