  • Publication number: 20240100295
Abstract: A catheter retainer and a catheter-protecting device including the catheter retainer are disclosed. The catheter retainer defines a channel configured for passage of a pre-shaped section of a catheter therethrough. The channel includes a first channel section and a second channel section. The first channel section is configured for passage of a straight section of a tip of the catheter therethrough, and the second channel section is configured for passage of a bent section of the tip of the catheter therethrough. The catheter retainer including the first channel section and the second channel section is able to ensure that an angle of a pre-shaped end of the catheter can be maintained without decreasing for a long time, allowing an operator to directly use and deploy the catheter at a lesion site without having to subjecting it to a steam shaping process. This can reduce the time required for preoperative preparation.

  • Publication number: 20240091495
Abstract: A catheter reinforcement layer (100) and a catheter (10). The catheter reinforcement layer (100) includes a spring component (110) and at least one axial component (120). The at least one axial component (120) extends along the spring component (110) from a proximal end to a distal end, and has at least one intersection with the spring component (110). According to the catheter reinforcing layer (100), by introducing one or more axial components (120) into a reinforcing layer of an existing spring component (110), the axial modulus of the catheter (10) is increased, thereby avoiding axial deformation or even breakage of the tubular body of the catheter (10) due to axial force.

  • Publication number: 20240058574
Abstract: A medical catheter and a method for fabricating it are disclosed. The medical catheter includes a catheter body including a proximal section and a distal section sequentially arranged along an axis. Stiffness of the proximal section is greater than stiffness of the distal section. The distal section includes a transition section and a flexible section from a proximal end to a distal end thereof. Stiffness of the flexible section is smaller than stiffness of the transition section. The stiffness of the transition section gradually decreases from a proximal end to a distal end thereof. A ratio of an axial length of the flexible section to an axial length of the transition section is 0.05-0.4. This axial stiffness design of the medical catheter can achieve a balance between its accessibility and support performance, which can result in better therapeutic outcomes of a surgical procedure.

  • Publication number: 20230068943
Abstract: A flow blocking catheter including an inner tube, a flow blocking member and an outer tube is provided. The flow blocking member is self-expandable and sleeved on an exterior of the inner tube. At least a proximal end of the self-expandable flow blocking member is attached to an outer circumference of the inner tube. The outer tube is movably sleeved on the exterior of the inner tube to restrict an expansion of the flow blocking member. In this way, expansion of the flow blocking member is able to be controlled simply by pushing/retracting the outer or inner tube to offer a fast shifting between different configurations. The flow blocking member is able to occlude blood flow with a controllably expansion to lower stimulation to the wall of the blood vessel and avoid the easy bursting of the balloon.

  • Publication number: 20220154279
Abstract: A method of using a serum exosomal hsa_circ_0004771 in preparing a reagent for the diagnosis of alcohol dependence is provided. Through study on the changes in expression levels of serum exosomal circRNA in patients with alcohol dependence (AD), a useful circRNA has been discovered and its effectiveness on clinical detection of AD has been validated. The exosomal hsa_circ_0004771 is useful for the diagnosis of AD as its expression level is related to the severity of AD, and therefore can be used as a biomarker in the diagnosis and severity assessment of AD. Development and application of the serum-derived circRNA biomarker and kit makes AD diagnosis much more convenient and simply, allowing clinicians to rapidly and accurately identify patients' conditions and providing improved clinical therapeutic effects; it also contributes to the discovery of novel potential drugs.
