  • Publication number: 20200151935
Abstract: An intuitive interface may allow users of a computing device (e.g., children, etc.) to create imaginary three dimensional (3D) objects of any shape using body gestures performed by the users as a primary or only input. A user may make motions while in front of an imaging device that senses movement of the user. The interface may allow first-person and/or third person interaction during creation of objects, which may map a body of a user to a body of an object presented by a display. In an example process, the user may start by scanning an arbitrary body gesture into an initial shape of an object. Next, the user may perform various gestures using his body, which may result in various edits to the object. After the object is completed, the object may be animated, possibly based on movements of the user.

  • Publication number: 20200057841
Abstract: Techniques for managing customer license agreements are described. In one embodiment, a user-specified resource metric of a license model and a user-specified limit of the user-specified resource metric are obtained. A request for permission to launch a new compute resource at a computing device of the provider network is obtained from a service within a provider network. The new compute resource having a property that is an amount of the user-specified metric. A determination is made that a launch of the new compute resource would cause the user-specified limit to be exceeded, and the request the request to launch the new compute resource is denied.

  • Patent number: 9929860
Abstract: Generalized password-based secret sharing schemes are provided. A secret sharing method comprises obtaining a secret; obtaining fixed values from one or more parties; setting an element of a column vector of a password-based linear secret sharing scheme based on the secret; randomly selecting values from a field for additional elements of the column vector; setting remaining elements of the column vector to values that ensure that a product of a matrix and the column vector, for each fixed-share party, is equal to the corresponding fixed value; and distributing non-fixed shares to additional parties using a labeling function. In another method, a defining matrix corresponds to the secret and a field of both the secret and a plurality of shares of the secret. A given share for each party in the set is set to the corresponding obtained fixed value.

  • Patent number: 9813244
Abstract: Distributed proactive threshold password-based secret sharing schemes are provided. An exemplary method comprises obtaining a difference between updated and prior values of a share for at least one fixed-share party. The updated value comprises a fixed share that is one of a plurality of shares of a secret held by a plurality of parties. A fixed-share party randomly selects a first correction polynomial employed by a polynomial-based secret sharing scheme such that at least one polynomial coefficient corresponding to the fixed-share party is a value that depends on the difference. A non-fixed-share party randomly selects a second correction polynomial such that at least one corresponding polynomial coefficient corresponding to the non-fixed-share party is approximately zero.

  • Patent number: 8599774
Abstract: A network switching method, device and system for mobile multimedia services are provided. The method includes: detecting signal strength of media stream data of a first network, and when the signal strength of the media stream data of the first network is smaller than a first preset value, receiving media stream data of a second network in parallel; and buffering the media stream data of the second network, decoding the buffered media stream data of the second network, and playing the decoded media stream data of the second network. The device includes a first communication module, a detecting module, a switching module, a second communication module, a processing module and a playing module. The system includes a first network, a second network and a terminal. Through the method, device and system, the time delay in the process of switching the serving network is reduced, and the service interruption caused by the network switching when the terminal performs multimedia services is prevented.

  • Patent number: 8353771
Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention discloses a mobile online game system which includes a first mobile game terminal, a second mobile game terminal and a game platform, and the first mobile game terminal acquires a P2P communication address of the second mobile game terminal from the game platform, creates a P2P connection with the second mobile game terminal, and communicates with the second mobile game terminal via the P2P connection. An embodiment of the present invention discloses as well a method for communicating between mobile game terminals. Because of the adoption of a P2P connection between the mobile game terminals for communicating, the forwarding of data interaction between the mobile game terminals by the game platform in the related art is avoided, so that the rate and efficiency of data interaction between the mobile game terminals are improved, and the data processing burden on the game platform is released.
