  • Patent number: 12144096
Abstract: A method for measuring an electron nonextensive parameter of a plasma by using nonextensive statistical mechanics and electric probe is provided. The plasma is described by the nonextensive statistical mechanics and establishes a nonextensive single electric probe theory on the basis of this. The electron nonextensive parameter have been measured which cannot be measured by traditional single probe, and obtained more accurate electron temperature, plasma potential, electron density and floating potential than traditional single probe. The nonextensive electric probe plays a role in plasma diagnosis, which will measure the nonextensivity of plasma and improve the diagnostic accuracy of other plasma parameters.

  • Publication number: 20220108226
Abstract: A method for employing a general label space voting-based differentially private federated learning (DPFL) framework is presented. The method includes labeling a first subset of unlabeled data from a first global server, to generate first pseudo-labeled data, by employing a first voting-based DPFL computation where each agent trains a local agent model by using private local data associated with the agent, labeling a second subset of unlabeled data from a second global server, to generate second pseudo-labeled data, by employing a second voting-based DPFL computation where each agent maintains a data-independent feature extractor, and training a global model by using the first and second pseudo-labeled data to provide provable differential privacy (DP) guarantees for both instance-level and agent-level privacy regimes.

  • Patent number: 8364849
Abstract: In a multinode data processing system in which the nodes communicate with one another via communication adapters over a network or switch, the adapters are provided with a dual register mechanism for tracking microcode task status. Upon the issuance of a disruptive command that requires attention from one of the nodes, the task status maintained in one register is copied to the snapshot register. As tasks within the adapter are completed, both registers are updated, thus providing a mechanism for the nodes to determine that all tasks active at the time of the disruptive command have completed. This means that the nodes now have a mechanism for determining, as soon as possible, that all tasks that are active when a disruptive command occurs have completed, thus allowing the data processing node to perform such operations as releasing system memory that is associated with the disruptive command, thus eliminating temporal overhead that can affect performance.

  • Publication number: 20090324212
Abstract: Described is a multiple channel interferometric surface contour measurement system. The measurement system includes a multiple channel interferometer projector, a digital camera and a processor. The projector includes two or more interferometer channels. Each channel has an optical axis spatially separate from the optical axes of the other channels. Each channel projects a fringe pattern onto the surface of an object to be measured. Image data for the fringe patterns projected on the object surface are acquired by the digital camera. The processor controls the projection of the fringe patterns of different spatial frequencies, adjusts the phase of each fringe pattern and generates surface contour data in response to the camera image data. The multiple channel interferometric surface contour measurement system provides numerous advantages over conventional single channel interferometric systems, including reduced sensitivity to optical noise, improved stability and increased measurement accuracy.

  • Publication number: 20050111996
Abstract: The present invention relates to an external counter pulsation apparatus that provides an improved treatment results while having a reduced energy consumption, noise, and/or heat during operation and/or an increased mobility. The counter pulsation apparatus can have a pump member for producing a fluid medium and a valve member for selectively allowing the fluid medium to inflate and deflate a fluid pouch adapted to be mounted onto a body portion of the patient. A control device can be provided to control the inflation and deflation of the valve member in accordance with a physical signal of a patient. An output variation device can be provided to vary the fluid medium output from the pump member to maintain the fluid medium pressure at a predetermined value. Additionally or alternatively, one or more of the pump member, the valve member, the control device, and the output variation device can be movable to the patient's location to carry out the counter pulsation treatment.
