Abstract: A shopping cart with sensor system is used by customers of a retail store to collect and scan items to be purchased. The shopping cart with sensor system includes a shopping cart and a shopping cart sensor system. Items to be purchased are placed in the shopping cart, where they are automatically scanned by the sensor system. The shopping cart sensor system includes a frame and a sensor coupled to the frame. The frame rotates with respect to the shopping cart so that the sensor can collect product information from items in the shopping cart. A first and a second light bar and a microcomputer are also coupled to the frame. The product information is used to ring up the items a customer wishes to purchase, so the customer does not have to visit a checkout station to have their items rung up.

Abstract: In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to monitor point of sale terminals and provide information to customers, via a lighting system. In some embodiments, information is provided, via visible light, to consumers and, via invisible light, to the management of a retail shopping facility. For example, a notification system for monitoring point of sale terminals in a retail shopping facility may include one or more visible light emitting status lights, at least one non-visible light emitting status light at each of the point of sale terminals, one or more optical sensors configured to detect the non-visible wavelength and an intensity associated with the non-visible wavelength emitted from the at least one non-visible light emitting status light; and a control circuit.

Abstract: Disclosed is a bagging clip tool that couples to a shopping bag bagging station. The bagging clip tool helps to keep shopping bags hung from a bag holder hook in place as one of the shopping bags is opened, filled and removed. The bagging clip tool includes a handle, a clip coupled to a first end of the handle, and a T bar with a pair of wheels coupled to a second end of the handle. The clip keeps shopping bags hung from the bag holder hook in place as individual shopping bags are filled and removed from the bag holder hook. The pair of wheels easily grab and separate the two sides of the shopping bag so a user can open the shopping bag without fumbling.

Abstract: A mobile computing device holder that mounts to a wall is described. The mobile computing device holder holds a mobile computing device base, such as a docking station or charger. The mobile computing device base cradles a mobile computing device such as a smart phone or scanning device. The mobile computing device holder includes a wall mount fixture that mounts to the wall and holds the mobile computing device base. A coupling apparatus is coupled to the mobile computing device so that the mobile computing device can be tethered to the wall mount fixture. The tether device tethers the mobile computing device and coupling apparatus to the wall mount fixture so the mobile computing device can be used, but cannot be moved more than the length of the tethering device from the wall mount fixture. The mobile computing device is docked in the base when not in use.

A side of a bag placed between the roller wheel and the side wall holds the paper bag in position on the bagging station so the bag can be filled with purchased items, then removed to be carried out of the store.

Abstract: A bracket for holding signs adjacent a screen of a television monitor on display at a retail store is described. A triangular support structure has struts which connect to the universal wall mounts of the monitor. An extension arm adapted to hold a sign is pivotally connected to triangular support allowing it to pivot with respect to the monitor. A biasing means urges the extension arm toward the screen of the monitor. If the monitor begins to fall, the extension arm is pulled by the biasing means to pivot toward the screen to protect the screen from damage in the event that the monitor falls on an object. It may also include a trigger lever at the base of the monitor which pulls a connection link which releases a catch allowing the extension arm to pivot.
