Patent number: 11506482Abstract: Systems and methods may provide for determining an amount of physical bend in an electronic device and comparing the amount of physical bend to a threshold. Additionally, a warning may be generated if the amount of physical bend exceeds the threshold. In one example, one or more values representing the amount of physical bend are stored to a nonvolatile memory on the device and retrieved in accordance with one or more of a diagnostic push event or a diagnostic pull event.Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 2021Date of Patent: November 22, 2022Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: Yuri I. Patent number: 11305173Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system for sensor-based objective determination. In general, sensor data may be used to render objective determinations that were not previously possible due to the unavoidable subjectivity of human-based officiating systems. For example, at least one device may be configured to make objective determinations during the course of a sporting event. Data collection circuitry may receive data from sensor devices coupled to players, equipment, playing surfaces, etc. Data analysis circuitry may categorize the data and input the data into a model to determine if an infraction occurred. For example, categorization may involve determining a type of infraction that may have occurred based on the sensor data. The model may then be selected based on the type of infraction, the model being developed utilizing prior sensor data, rules for the sporting event, etc. Output circuitry may generate a notification based on the infraction determination.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 2020Date of Patent: April 19, 2022Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: Richard Paul Crawford, David I. Poisner, Yuri I. Krimon

Patent number: 9950248Abstract: A computing system of an electronic puzzle includes a memory, an electronically controlled lock, and a plurality of sensors to generate sensor data. The computing system controls the electronically controlled lock to regulate access to an inner chamber of the electronic puzzle and monitors the sensor data generated by the plurality of sensors. The computing system generates an input password based on the monitored sensor data, compares the input password to a puzzle password stored in the memory, and unlocks the electronically controlled lock to permit access to the inner chamber in response to a determination that the input password matches the puzzle password.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2015Date of Patent: April 24, 2018Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: David I. Poisner, Yuri I. Krimon
