  • Publication number: 20210142241
Abstract: Methods and products improve the profitability of a management strategy for a physical operation that converts a resource into a product or service, whereby a subset of relevant risk factors faced by the physical operation are traded in a financial derivatives market. A measure of at least one resource is obtained, and variables including the measure of the at least one resource are used to determine a first operating model and a second operating model. An operating strategy based on the first operating model is implemented in the physical operation and determines the way the resource is processed. Hedging strategies based on the first and second operating models and the measure of the at least one resource are used to develop a combined hedging strategy that is implemented in a financial market. The first operating model implemented in the physical operation together with the hedging strategy implemented in the financial market increase profitability of the physical operation.

  • Publication number: 20120285000
Abstract: A method of producing a vehicle's heat-insulating wall is disclosed. The vehicle's interior lining is distinguished by structure comprising an outer wall, made from steel or aluminum, layer of a rigid grid having substantially uniform pattern of openings, made for instance from an expanded metal mounted over a plurality of supports spaced across the inner surface of the outer wall, layer of self-rising heat-insulating foam deposited between the inner surface of the outer wall and the rigid grid, and a decorative layer, preferably a polyurea resin. The provided grid is sufficiently rigid for withstanding without damage forces applied to it in the process of leveling excess of the deposited foam material having solidified after it had risen up through the openings of the grid.

  • Publication number: 20100175548
Abstract: Muzzle jump of projectile-firing guns and weapons systems is significantly reduced by creating a momentum, rotating in the direction opposite to the rotational direction of the momentum causing muzzle jump by redirecting not a gas flow produced by a blast of ammunition but redirecting a projectile traveling through the barrel. The barrel is bent in such a way that curvature of the bend is made convex in relation to the support of said gun or systems. The plane of said curvature coincides with the plane of the momentum created by recoil of the said gun or system. Since the projectile possesses significantly bigger mass than escaping gases, the created contra-momentum is much bigger than the one which could be achieved by redirecting a flow of escaping gases so it could be sufficient to completely negate momentum created by recoil force of said projectiles firing gun or weapon system.

  • Publication number: 20040128305
Abstract: A system for providing services for gathering data in an event driven environment. Upon occurrence of one or more events in an event source, the system includes means for receiving the events in a event repository and means for transmitting an event message to a data warehouse. Upon receipt of the events in the event repository, the system includes means for activating an event activator, the event activator for causing an event transmitter to transmit the event message. The system further includes means for evaluating search conditions; and means for causing, when the search conditions are true, the event transmitter to transmit the event message.

  • Patent number: 5511996
Abstract: Solving the problem of breakage of beryllium, copper contacts by applying heat shock to a condition just short of visible oxidation and then promptly water quenching is disclosed. After being so treated, the contacts are then processed in the traditional way which normally anticipates an acid rinse, and subsequent plating. The product of the process can be definitely identified by bending. If not annealed, it will break by bending more than 45.degree.. If annealed properly in accordance with the process of the invention, it will withstand three or four bends to 90.degree. before breakage. Where a compliance section exists in the contact, it is important that it be in the zone of applying the heat shock so that after the heat shock annealing process is concluded, the compliance section will behave like a softer material.
